From Dallas to The X-Files and Twin Peaks, I thought I'd create a thread where Greecies can discuss the not-so-original television we've seen come back in the last few years. This thread could also cover shows you want to see brought back--I miss my beloved Hunter terribly sometimes.

I so wish they would reboot this show! such a great cast and such a fun show. we've seen all the episodes but can still get sucked in on Sunday afternoon when it's on ION. I tried to find another "caper" show but there isn't much out there. They could at least make a reunion movie - Psych is doing that. |

I've never seen Leverage, but I'll def give it a go one afternoon. My mom adores it and was bummed when it was canceled.
I'm morbidly curious about the Dynasty reboot, but from what I've read and seen already, they appear to be doing it wrong! Actually, I love soaps, so I hope that I am mistaken.
The reboot of Melrose Place sucked so bad. Syd being alive gave ME life! Michael was still so lovable in his hateful way. I really wanted all those kids off the show, and the originals to just move back into the building - no explanation necessary.
The reboot of Dallas was okay. Hagman was still bringing the JR realness until he died. I rooted hard for John Ross and PamBecca (until he started acting a little too much like his father). I had no use for Elena and her storyline, however.
Psych is doing a reunion movie? I just teared up a little!

I'd love for Leverage to return. I liked the characters, the capers, and when they'd start listing different cons by names.
I just googled, and of course there is a page for names of cons from Leverage. A few:
The Cuban sandwich - The Vegas Wake-Up Call, Like the Cuban Sandwich except “the boyfriend shows up”; Glengarry glen death; The Apple Pie “It’s like the Cherry Pie, but with lifeguards”; The Oklahoma Little Chucky; The Moonwalking Bear; The Pizarro Pressure Point...
Aw, I could list them all.
I also miss In Plain Sight.
I refuse to acknowledge Moonlight as a remake of Forver Knight, they had the (no longer Canadian, no longer a cop) vampire walking around in broad daylight.

I also miss In Plain Sight. I really, really liked In Plain Sight. The last two seasons really strained my patience, though, because of the lame way the writers handled Mary's pregnancy, so I doubt I'd watch a return/reunion movie. |

Psych is doing a reunion movie? I just teared up a little! Not just a reunion movie, a Christmas reunion movie! Lassiter's role might be a bit reduced though because Tim Omundson recently had a stroke. |

I NEED to be the first to say Firefly. Carry on... Now that I finally "get" what the Universe of Firefly (Western meets Sci-Fi) was going for, I could totally get behind a reunion movie. Not sure I could take a full-fledged return, though. And now this thread has me thinking some version of Stargate and/or SG: Atlantis should come back, too. How I miss regular intervals of Joe Flanigan. |
