Ron Glass passed away? What? How did I miss that?

I am almost (...almost) ready for a new Star Trek series on television. Granted, it would have to be some damn fine entertainment to smooth over the wounds of Enterprise/Voyager, but I could get behind it as long as it looked passably, well, fine. Don't think I'd want a remake/reboot, though, something more along the lines of the return of Deep Space Nine (which was the last decent TV Star Trek for me.)

Roseanne is coming back in the fall. I have mixed feelings about that. I loved the show for the first 4 or 5 seasons. And I feel there still aren't that many shows about blue collar/ working class families. But even before the disastrous last season it had been going downhill. And Roseanne has become a total crackpot, I don't know if she is capable of acting anymore.
I've heard that they are going to pretend the last season just never happened which is for the best.

Personally, I think that's the only way Roseanne could come back, because of how its core audience completely rejected the lottery win development. As one of the very (very) few who was actually intrigued by that plot twist, (though not what it did to the series) even I think it's better that the big win is deep sixed.

I am SO EXCITED about the Roseanne reboot! I do hope they pretend the lottery story line never happened, although I wonder how they can make that happen without it being clunky or too farcical for the audience... Actually, perhaps they'll play UP the clunky-ness, in the same spirit as all the "new Becky" jokes they used to do.

Oh, I didn't think of that possibility. New Becky Jokes were funny as hell.

Oh, I didn't think of that possibility. New Becky Jokes were funny as hell. I remember one closer where they were watching "Bewitched." Roseann says something like, "They switched Darrens like we wouldn't even notice," and NewBecky says, "I like the new Darren MUCH better!"

Both Beckys are going to be on the reboot! Not sure how that is going to work but I liked both actresses so I'm happy.

I'd love for Leverage to return. I liked the characters, the capers, and when they'd start listing different cons by names. I just googled, and of course there is a page for names of cons from Leverage. A few: The Cuban sandwich - The Vegas Wake-Up Call, Like the Cuban Sandwich except “the boyfriend shows up”; Glengarry glen death; The Apple Pie “It’s like the Cherry Pie, but with lifeguards”; The Oklahoma Little Chucky; The Moonwalking Bear; The Pizarro Pressure Point... Aw, I could list them all. I also miss In Plain Sight. I refuse to acknowledge Moonlight as a remake of Forver Knight, they had the (no longer Canadian, no longer a cop) vampire walking around in broad daylight. Don't forget about The Boca Backlash! I really, really liked In Plain Sight too. I thought it was a fascinating concept and I loved what a hot mess Mary was in her personal life.

I read an article recently that Roseanne plans to have a lot of political stuff on the show. All pro-Cheeto since she's a big supporter. John Goodman is not a supporter of the orange man. I hope the article is wrong because I was excited about this reboot, too.
