Goddamn. How sad is it that we have to have an entire thread for this. *Jeremy Piven is being accused of harassment by two women so far. *Brett Ratner is suing one of his so far six accusers for defamation. *Kevin Spacey is going to rehab(?) for being a pedophile, I think. *Dustin Hoffman has 2 accusers so far, and is on the record for abusing Meryl Streep. *Roman Polanski, Woody Allen, Terry Richardson, and Harvey Weinstein are all known monsters. I'm still hoping and praying for the Singer and Schneider shoes to drop.

Jeremy Piven is notorious for being a sleaze. He would have the extras line up and pick one out to bang in his trailer. Not surprised I’m the slightest about harassment charges.
Dustin Hoffman though. That was a mouth dropper!

I used to like Jeremy Piven, back when he was on Ellen Degeneres' sitcom and then on Cupid. But then he got hair plugs, started winning all these awards for Entourage, and revealed himself to be a grade-A d-bag. Him being on this list does not shock me at all.

Honestly, I'm haviving a hard time keeping up with this story and reading the accounts of the victims, especially Weinstein. The stories are extremely sad and disturbing. He can only be described as a serial rapist at this point, protected by money and power. He needs to go to jail.

Someone on ONTD has been posting round-ups of everyone associated with Bryan Singer's parties. Spacey, Roland Emmerich, etc. Here's one (warning for some creepy although technically SFW pictures). It's just gossip, but reportedly, opposition to this crap is why Alan Cumming had a falling out with Singer and didn't come back to the X-Men movies. So hopefully we can keep Alan Cumming in the "faith in humanity" column.

Here's a (sadly, frequently updated) post-Weinstein list of powerful men behaving badly - across all sorts of prominent industries. John Besh, the New Orleans celebrity chef, was the one that shocked me. I was a fan - one of the best dining experiences I ever had was at his Restaurant August a few years ago, and I enjoyed his appearances on Top Chef. And, like many people, I had a crush on him. 😞 The reason why I can't stop thinking about his downfall is that unlike most of the men on the list, his personal brand was all about him being a family man. (His last PBS cooking show was called Chef John Besh's Family Table, which was based on his cookbook of the same name. And of course, in both, he talked a lot about his wife and four sons, and how family was the most important thing.) Men living double lives is a cliché for a reason, but with him, it was super jarring. You had his public persona - pleasant, even-keeled, and family-oriented ... a breath of fresh air compared to other celebrity chefs. This is such a far cry from his reported behavior behind the scenes, where sexual harassment was permitted in his kitchens, and he cheated on his wife with what sounds like an entry-level employee at his company ... that alone is unprofessional and unethical, but he also possibly drugged her and manipulated her. I'm disgusted, disappointed, and disillusioned. I would have expected these behaviors from a noted douchebag like Michael Chiarello (and I wasn't off the mark, as I since found out that last year he was sued for sexual harassment). The Chef Jeff character in Master of None certainly was emblematic of an issue in the culinary industry. I'm still keeping my eyes open for more fallout from the Besh scandal - as well as if other celebrity chefs will be exposed. Not surprising is seeing all the men in the media on the ever-updating list. (I worked in smaller newspapers for 15 years; I wasn't sexually harassed, but as a woman, I always was treated as "less than.")

People who are bad-tempered, ill-mannered d-bags in public are at least being honest about who they are. I have a huge side-eye for anyone who overly trumpets the "family man" persona. I always wonder who they're trying to convince.

I just read that Paz De la Huerta came forward with her story. Weinstein raped her on two occasions. Gah. Can he not be arrested yet? How does it work in America? Is there a statute of limitations on crimes?
