Not that the news is surprising in the least but Alec Baldwin has confessed that he has often bullied women.

Looks like a preemptive strike to be but maybe I'm too cynical, maybe recent events have made him aware that hey, he is one of those jerks. Maybe? Maybe? Yeah, no. I think my gut is right, it is an effort to control the narrative.

As far as I know, the only crime for which there is no statute of limitations throughout the US is murder. The statute of limitations varies by state for most crimes, including sexual assault. From what the Internet tells me, NY state changed their law about a decade ago so that there's no statute of limitations for first degree rape and 5 years for second and third degree. The challenge in Paz's case (and many others) is if the person didn't report the rape right away, you don't have any physical evidence, which makes it much harder to charge or convict.

I've long suspected Dan Schneider had a role in Amanda Bynes' breakdown. Schneider is also married to Lisa "Hungry Girl" Lillien. I'm not aware if he ever boasted about being happily married to the shirataki slinger amid the rumors he was sexually coercing Nick's teen girl stars.

Also, thinking about Paz de la Huerta, I feel terrible for snarking about her in the past. Today, what I believe about her is that either she was a mess because HW raped her, or HW raped her because she was a mess (and therefore not a perfect victim).

I have read so many blind items about Dan Schneider for so long I believe them. Rumors don't usually persist for this long unless there's some truth to them. Maybe all this will inspire some of his victims to come forward.

I really, really hope that is not true. Wasn't it established to be Jamie Lynn's boyfriend who fathered the baby?

Makes you wonder if the parents of these kids knew or suspected anything. Because...not naming names...there are some parents who I suspect would have been content to look the other way or remain in denial.

That's her husband? I never knew that before.

I have several HG books. I wonder whether I should keep them.

I remember Molly Ringwald mentioning that her parents were very involved in her career. Yet, it still didn't stop douchebags from trying some crap.

He didn't even have to confess. We all heard about that call to his daughter Ireland. I just hope he didn't sexually abuse anybody.

ETA: Andy Dick was fired from a film for bad behavior. His excuse? "They know about me; they know what they signed up for."

I didn't know who Dan Schneider was until I looked him up- RICKY from Better Off Dead! As in 'gee Ricky, I'm sorry I blew up your mother' and 'he's always trying to put his slimy testicles on me' - 'you mean tentacles?'

My mind is boggling that he's had such a successful career in producing, but don't know much about him other than that.
