Fiddlesticks! I wanted Lady Bird, Dunkirk, or Get Out. It's fine, though, still a very deserving film, just not my choice.

I gotta say - this ran really long, and it was one of the more entertaining AA shows in the last 10 years or so.

Meh. I can live with this, I guess. I don't think it's as memorable or defining as Get Out, but whatever.  Same. At least it got OG Screenplay. I realized months ago that Get Out was never going to win Best Picture nor was Call Me. So I was totes rooting for Del Toro and Shape. I’m happy! I just loathed Three Billboards so I’m glad it didn’t win. ETA: Truthfully I was shocked it was even nominated. |

The jet ski bit at the end sort of stepped on the best picture winners’ moment. But seeing Helen Mirren ride out on the jet ski made it worth it.

Predictable winners, but a good time overall! The jet ski payoff was better than Neil Patrick Harris’ magic trick.
