Maybe he’s dead. And that’s why Jackie is even more of a flake/ pathetic then usual.

I'm just glad that they seem to have reversed all of the finale stuff, particularly Darlene being married to Mark and Becky being married to David. This show is such a weird mix of really great actors (John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Estelle Parsons - who I hope they bring back) and really terrible ones (almost everyone else). Lecy tries, bless her heart. Roseanne's acting got to be not-so-bad in the original series, but she's lost whatever skills she acquired. She looks like she's on SNL reading cue cards. LOL at Jackie not being allowed to adopt a dog because it would have to grieve her death. Maybe he’s dead. And that’s why Jackie is even more of a flake/ pathetic then usual. I don't know, her parenting of Armani is very similar to how she parented Andy. |

They haven't really given alot of back story on anyone. Did I miss something? Where is Jerry, Andy and the Lunchbox restaurant? How did Mark pass away?

They are only trickling out information, which I like. Jerry Garcia was mentioned in the first episode as being on a fishing boat and not reachable by phone. Andy has not been mentioned and The Lunchbox has not been mentioned. This past episode indicated that Jackie still has her house, so she's probably in reasonably good financial shape, whatever she's doing. Maybe they sold it and used the money to retire? |

According to an article I read, the show felt it had so much ground to cover that some stories will have to,wait until next season. Andy’s story is one of them.

I've only half paid attention to the episodes so far, has DJ been shown at all? I take it from the opening credits that the little black girl is his, but I swear I haven't actually seen Michael Fishman yet.
The acting is mostly pretty bad from everyone except Roseanne, John Goodman, and Laurie Metcalf.
Lecy Goranson is very awkward, but IMO, Sara Gilbert isn't much better. I also thought she was terrible when she had that recurring role on The Big Bang Theory, so I guess I just don't like her as an adult actor. She was fabulous as a child/teenager, but her line delivery is so off now.
