I searched and couldn't find a thread for this show. I know from the "What are you watching?" thread that there are at least a few fans on here.

Big news dropped yesterday that

Cristal (or at least Nathalie Kelley) won't be returning in Season 2.

she didn't like the long hours and/or location shooting - "I get my life back." Good for her if she doesn't need the money and good luck finding an acting job that's any easier. I'm going to miss her but I think they should recast with an actress who can handle the grind. The character is too important to the show and there are plenty of Latina actresses out there who are looking for their break.

Anyway, this show is crazy and I have no doubt it will continue to be crazy no matter who is cast and uncast. Let's talk about Season 2, The Carringtons, Colbys, and everything else.

OMG, she’s an integral part of the show! And since she didn’t light the show on fire, I’d be ok if they recasted her.

What! Ok I hope they recast bc I enjoyed her hijinks and liked seeing a Spanish speaking actress as a major character.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing. If the season starts with her in a coma with bandages on her face then we'll definitely know where they're going with it. I'm just relieved it's not Steven tbh. I can get over her leaving but if it was Steven I'd be distraught.

In the mean time, now that they're having a diva shortage, they should cast Vanessa Williams as the Colby's mother. You know this show would fit her like a glove.

That would be perfect! I bet they're trying to get her.

Really curious how they're going to solve the Cristal situation. I mean, they could let her die I guess, she really didn't do so well at the end there. And it would definitely take the show into a very different direction from the original ;-)

I just finished the season like 5 minutes ago, literally. What a great finale. I too hope they will go the face-bandage route.

Isn't he adorable? I know he's lazy af, but he's so cute :-) The show also needs to let him sing and dance a lot more!

Sorry for the double post, but I'm bumping this up because we've got a new Cristal. Since the old one's real name was Celia Machado, I think this may be the Cristal Flores she stole her name from? I love it. I can't wait for the season to finally start.
