Fallon drinking alcohol from a bedazzled baby bottle was *everything*. Poor Steven.

Fallon drinking alcohol from a bedazzled baby bottle was *everything*. Poor Steven. Fallon is a goddess. I adore Elizabeth Gillies so freaking much. I know the show has gone into a more comedic tone this season and it works thanks to the writing, but I hope they don't just gloss over the bombs that were dropped on Steven's heart. His face :-( I should have known something like this was going to happen after his sweet moment with Blake. After watching a few clips of the OG Dynasty I hope they're going to introduce Dex soon, just so we get to see another side to Alexis. Although, I love her relationship with Sammy Jo; is there anyone who isn't charmed by him? He's the definition of adorable. And yes, I know everyone calls him Sam, but he'll be Sammy Jo to me ;-)

Double post because, new episode :-D
Well the actress who plays Kirby is just....not good? Not to mention that the character is all over the place right now and simply exists to cause chaos and pain.
I'm usually annoyed when tv shows show off their actors' singing skills (like, we get it), but here I don't mind at all. Liz Gillies, James Mackay and Rafael de la Fuente have such lovely voices, plus singing together is clearly something that Steven and Fallon have been doing since they were kids. I love their relationship.
They didn't gloss over last episode's drama, but we really needed to see Steven and Blake talk. Missed opportunity there for truly good scenes. The whole day in Paraguay was ridiculous. And now they're sending Steven back there; will he really be gone until Christmas??
The Culhane plot could end up being really good so I don't mind that, especially if it involves Jeff somehow.
I've noticed that don't miss Cristal/Celia except whenever new Cristal appears because they've introduced her in such a clunky way. I mean, there really wasn't an organic way to bring in that character, but they should have waited a bit longer.

James Mackay had 2 weeks off in September so he'll only be gone for an episode or two. The scene where he told Sam he had to leave made me all verklempt. Steven and Fallon's song was beautiful. I loved it. I like how the musical moments on the show always make sense, like Fallon singing for her Grandpa's funeral or Sam when he was on molly. When the kids on Riverdale start singing I use the time to fix a snack or go to the bathroom. Whatever they're planning to do with Blake and Cristal they need to just move forward with it. It feels like they've had the same scene a few times now. I think they wanted to introduce her as slowly as possible so people would get used to her but it's starting to be like watching paint dry. BTW, if you haven't seen it yet, here are some clips of Rafael, Liz, and Grant re-enacting scenes from A Star is Born on Halloween. SO FUNNY. Don't drink anything while you watch because it will shoot out of your nose.

I loved that scene, those two are just lovely together. Oh totally. Clearly Fallon and Steven have always entertained the family with their music, so every time they have her sing or him play the piano, it makes sense and doesn't interrupt the flow of the episode. Plus, they sound so great together, I need an entire Christmas album with songs sung by the Carrington kids :-) Speaking of which, I really liked how Blake said to Anders "We have a son together now". Although I'm not entirely sure this is truly the end of it. This is Dynasty, Blake could still be Steven's biological father :-D I had only seen the first clip of those you linked, not the rest, they're hilarious! Also, I applaud you for still sticking with Riverdale, I had to give up early in the second season.

I was wrong. Steven's not coming back. James Mackay fired. It seems like it was the higher-ups at the CW who didn't like him and now the role will probably be recast. I'm heartbroken. The storyline with Culhane and that blonde woman makes no sense and I hate that they're turning Liam into a creep. This might be the time when I bail.

I am envisioning a quick death to this show.

Unfortunately, no matter how much of a dumpster fire the show becomes it's still pretty much guaranteed to run 4 seasons, mainly because of the international deal with Netflix. Which means that when Mark Pedowitz (CW president) demands that James or Nathalie be fired or interferes with storylines he's just being an asshole for no special reason.

Oh wait...Steven was recast on the original show. Wondering if they’re going to recast again?
