Saw it yesterday and I really really loved it.
A few thoughts-
Bradley and Gaga really has wonderful chemistry. I felt a lot of times that I wasn’t watching a movie with two actors, but observing a couple in real life. Acting wise, they were both great. She was really natural.
I loved the supporting cast! It was fun seeing Bradley’s former Alias co-stars pop up. My jaw dropped when I found out Ally’s father was played by Andrew Dice Clay.
I thought they could have shown the passage of time a little clearer, but that was really my only quibble.
I’ve been listening to the soundtrack on repeat.
I look forward to seeing what Bradley does next.
I’ve just decided to ignore all interviews with both of them, so my thoughts aren’t tainted by their pretentiousness.

Just saw it. I enjoyed it, Gaga and Bradley had great chemistry, but I think the first half is stronger than the second half. Their meeting was cute, but yes, they did dive into a relationship rather quickly. I came away with a similar reaction. I liked it, but didn't love it. The first third or so of the film (pre-fame Ally) was a lot stronger than when Ally became a star. Once she met the manager, the film started to lose a lot of the specificity of her character that worked so well for me in the first part of the movie. Her rise to fame was sort of vague and rushed, as was the end. The theme of "everyone has talent, but stars have something to say" was an interesting concept that they didn't quite develop once Ally became famous.

I saw it today and loved it. I thought both Bradley and Gaga were fantastic and their chemistry was through the roof.

I loved the supporting cast! It was fun seeing Bradley’s former Alias co-stars pop up. Deets please! Victor Garber? Michael Vartan? Jennifer Garner? Merin Dungey? Kevin Weisman? Greg Grunberg? SARK?! SLOAN?! (Can you tell I love this show!?) I had no interest in seeing this until you mentioned this. I guess I could look it up on IMDB or just see it myself. Bradley has a kid with a Victoria's Secret model. They are taking a page from Ben Affleck and doing a lot of family pap walks in service of the Oscar campaign. I don't know what Gaga's romantic situation is like, but I don't think Bradley and Gaga are a thing.

Greg Grunberg and Ron Rifkin. GG played BC's limo driver and had a couple scenes and RR played a counselor.
Also, I watched that whole movie and didn't recognize Andrew Dice Clay!

I saw this a few days ago and it was really awesome. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this wins a bunch of Oscars, including Best Actress for Gaga (which would piss off Madonna so much!). I'll try to avoid the Oscar poledance with Gaga and Cooper though as it's a bit nauseating to hear them gush about each other all the time.

Watched it and was surprised at how good Bradley Cooper was in the role. Gaga was average at best and incredibly annoying in the second half. I thought the movie was very Nicholas Sparks-ish.

I was also more impressed with Cooper than Gaga? Though I thought she was very good.

Saw this last night and thought it was great. Cooper and Gaga acted the shit out of their roles. Their chemistry was fantastic and their voices meshed really well.
Ally's singing was so raw and beautiful at the beginning (Gaga has such an amazing voice), and then that manager goes and synthesizes everything about her. Hated the fake orange hair, the dancers, the pop sound; blech. Why ruin such talent with all that fake crap?
Sure makes fame and fortune look terrible, I kept thinking Jackson Maine looks like he smells bad.
I hadn't seen any of the previous versions of the movie so after researching them, it's interesting how they had the same basic ending but each version was reflective of its time.

Cooper and Gaga acted the shit out of their roles. Their chemistry was fantastic and their voices meshed really well. Agree so much. I think one of the sexiest scenes was when he first brought her out on stage to sing with him and they were going singing into the same mic and looking at each other. *Fans self* Having not seen any of the others, either, I got the impression that in those the Cooper character was jealous of the Gaga character's rise as he was declining. In this version, though there was probably some of that, it seemed to me that Jackson was most bothered that Ally was selling out on her talent with all the pop stuff, which I thought was a better take.
