There seems to be enough discussion in the What Are You Watching? thread to give Murphy its own thread.

I thought the parts with Murphy and Avery were pretty good. Corky is definitely the corniest character by far.

I will give it a few more episodes. I think they shouldn't have put Avery and Murphy in the same timeslot, it would be funnier to see Murphy watching the "Wolf" network in horror.
Corky was the weakest character in the original; my favorite storyline with her was when she married Will and became Corky Sherwood Forrest.

Corky Sherwood Forrest was one of the best gags on the show.
I'm going to watch vicariously through you guys. I lost interest in the original after the Dan Quayle thingy, and since it hasn't aged well in the reboot, I want to remember the show fondly.

Corky Sherwood Forrest was one of the best gags on the show. I'm embarrassed to admit that I literally just got this joke.

I can’t stand laugh tracks, either, so that’s another reason I’m not watching. I appreciate the detailed Greecie commentary!

I was glad they included little tributes to Eldin and Aretha. I used to like the never-ending stream of weirdo secretaries, and seeing Hillary was kind of fun (were there spoilers out there about that appearance? I didn't see any).
I wasn't delighted with the first show, but I'll probably watch a few more episodes and see how it goes.

Well, live studio audience sounded like a laugh track. Either way, not something I'm used to any more and I don't like it. But I do plan on giving the show a few more episodes.
