This could just have easily been placed in the WTF thread, but...
Today, during the Super Bowl Halftime Extravaganza, Maroon 5 will perform "Sweet Victory" from SpongeBob SquarePants ("Band Geeks", S2, Ep15) in memory of Stephen Hillenburg, creator of everyone's favorite sponge. (and yes, I DID know the episode information off the top of my head--why do you ask?)
Anyway, if I tune in at all, it will be for that reason only....

Tony got a Fly past This is lovely, Thousands of people cheered a fly-past honouring 10 US airmen who died when their plane crashed in a park 75 years ago. The US bomber came down in Endcliffe Park, Sheffield UK on 22 February 1944, killing everyone on board. Tony Foulds was a young lad who has tended the memorial to these men all these years since as he feels the pilot diverted out of the path out him and his young pals close by saving their lives. The campaign for a fly-past started after a chance meeting between BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker and Tony Foulds. #RememberTheTen

I was very leaky eyed when I saw this on bbc the other morning and then I read Tonyβs words, then I was gone completely as you all said, ugly crying.
I'm having my ashes put behind the memorial," he said. "So I'm going to be with them forever. ... This is love between me and the lads, and it always will be. It will never alter."
So happy Tony got his flypast for the lads.

What really brought the tears on for me was hearing how he still feels guilty for their deaths. Even 75 years later, he still feels like it was his fault. The poor man was only a child when it happened so the fact that he still blames himself for it is so heartbreaking.
