It was trending on my FB feed yesterday, and I made a small donation. They were only 2/3s to their goal when I saw the gofundme page. I'm thrilled organizers passed it. I also hope they catch the f*ckers who burned down the churches. Racism won't win this one.

They've already arrested and charged the suspect with several counts of arson and hate crimes, to which of course he plead not guilty.

There's a small rooftop apiary on Notre Dame, and it survived the fire. Apparently the bees survived the heat and smoke as well. Hurrah!

The Therapy Dogs For The Parkland Shooting Survivors Got Their Own School Yearbook Page

When conceptualizing the yearbook, the 35 students were adamant about making it more of a "celebration," Lerner noted. The colors and fonts are clean and bright. There are no pictures of the victims this year, but photos of memorials and snippets of stories and tributes about them are woven throughout the pages.

"It's hard to be here some days because of the trauma and reliving and revisiting things," Lerner said. "I couldn't be prouder of my students and the yearbook they put together. Honestly, it's my favorite. We have a different perspective on things now, and it's not just a yearbook — it's a record of history."
