The Princess Switch just came up in my suggested list (go figure, they know me). mojogirl, I'll take your word that it's probably too bad for even my low standards. In the bit of preview I watched I couldn't help but think the dude (brother, bestie, love interest?) looks a lot like C. Thomas Howell did in Soul Man.

The Truth About Christmas was pretty good. It’s Freeform’s take on Liar, Liar. The ending managed to surprise me, which is rare for this genre.

I watched A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding last night and was unimpressed (not a huge fan of the first one either but this one was worse.) My biggest gripe is that they stole multiple plot points from Princess Diaries 1 & 2. Come up with your own cheezy ideas!
To avoid sounding like a huge grump, I will say that my favorite Christmas movie on Netflix is The Christmas Spirit. Haven't watched it yet this year but I plan to rectify that this weekend.

I think The Christmas Spirit was a non-Hallmark indie film originally. It feels less cookie cutter than the rest, and the male lead has got to be one of the handsomest leads to ever headline one of these pics.
I suffered through Melissa Joan Hart’s A Very Nutty Christmas last night. Oof. I think it should be a rule that nobody can be zanier or more madcap than MJH in an MJH movie. When she’s the straight man, the dynamic just feels off. It also made no sense at all; if you thought your miniature nutcracker had suddenly come to life and was now wooing you, wouldn’t you have some questions for him? She had none! At all.

Yeah it's not a made for Netflix. One of the reasons I like it is the leading man reminds me of a dear friend, both in looks and manner.

I couldn't make it through. I did enjoy the running joke about the dad being a different actor, "I feel like a new man!" but other than that it was a total dud. The first one was a pretty successful movie for Netflix so I was expecting them to put a little more money into the sequel. But the production design, costumes, hair/makeup, all looked really cheap!

I watched "Mingle All the Way" over the weekend. All I could think throughout the movie was that someone needed to develop that app because I sorely need it this Holiday season.
Regarding the storyline, I did appreciate that they didn't fall in love right away, and that it was gradual in comparison to other Hallmark movies. The movie actually kept my attention, maybe because the main actor was easy on the eyes. Aren't they all though?

A Christmas Spirit is a Lifetime movie. The lead actor is great in it and the leads have fun chemistry. I like most of the movie but feel like so much happened in the last 15 minutes. There are some big tone shifts right at the end. Plus how is the ending even supposed to work?!?

You guys would be so proud of MissP!
I went to pick her up from her after-school arrangement, and was going OFF on a rant about the formulaic Christmas movies, and how bad they all are.
Just for that, I might not let her watch Holiday in Handcuffs with us this year!
