These movies are so cheesy, but they are like comfort food. Folksy little towns, kind people, guaranteed happy endings. I just watched one called 'A Christmas Inheritance' with Andie MacDowell as the town's cafe owner. She taught the leading lady (an uptight, shallow woman from NYC, 'natch) how to bake. The NYC girl also had to work as a hotel maid (THE HORROR) because she was out of money. The leading man wore lots of plaid flannel.
There's a sequel to 'A Prince for Christmas' coming to Netflix. This is the cheesiest, even by Hallmark standards, but I've watched it at least 3 times.

I just watched the new Netflix movie "Holiday Calendar" last night, and at one point the leading lady is watching "A Christmas Inheritance." /meta Also, wondering if Netflix is dragging Hallmark because every single character in Holiday Calendar is a POC, except for the mom, Mr Wrong, and two guys the leading lady talks with at a homeless shelter.

I love the Holiday Hallmark movies! The actors are okay, but are always easy on the eyes, and a lot of the lines are cheesy as hell, but man, do I love happy endings in movies! And with a Hallmark movie, it's always guaranteed to be a happy ending. I also love that there's never truly an antagonist, there's no evil stepmother, crazy ex-gf/bf, the little town is just full of happy people who love Christmas and baking.
One of my favorite Christmas movies and don't ask me why,is A Christmas Kiss. I think it was on Netflix or maybe Prime last year. But I swear, I watched it like 3-4 between Thanksgiving and Christmas... And maybe one more time before the New Year.

The actors are okay, but are always easy on the eyes, My friend says they come straight from "The Hallmark movie leading man factory"

I generally hate the Hallmark movies, but I love A Christmas Kiss. The pacing is good, and Elizabeth Rohm is great as the evil boss—she steals the show. I’m just baffled by why they didn’t make it a proper franchise. She does pop up in A Christmas Kiss 2 in a cameo playing a completely different character. I think the sequel should have followed her character.

I also don't understand why they didn't just follow her character and show how she's changed. I actually hated the sequel and only watched it once, I thought it was awful, even with my lower standard for Holiday movies
