As a casual watcher of the Hallmark Channel (don't judge me, I do it mostly for the lolz), being in one of their Christmas movies is not anything to brag about. They're all terrible storylines with terrible acting. SNL made a hilarious skit once with James Franco that points out everything wrong with them (watch it here if you like). I watch these terrible movies too, and that SNL skit was so on point. The Moughlin girls are screwed for awhile thanks to their mom pushing them into college which neither really wanted to attend.

Shouldn’t the girls be charged as accessories? They participated in the fake rowing photos and were cc’d on emails, so it’s not as though they had no idea what was going on.

I think the daughters seem terrible, spoiled, and entitled, but they were minors when this happened and I don’t think they should be charged as accessories.

That's an interesting question--I wonder what the law is, especially since they were sort of forced to be accessories. This was undertaken on their behalf, right? I haven't read anything that suggested Olivia asked her parents to undertake scamming to get into USC.

I agree, I think a fair punishment for the girls is being expelled, which neither the school nor Moughlins will confirm happened, but they are no longer attending and I am satisfied with that. For kids who the schools can't prove they knew what their parents did, they are not even being expelled. So, Felicity is all done with her prison sentence and can enjoy the holidays, hope Aunt Becky is really sweating!

I think it's possible they might get charged while charges are still pending against their parents, but not too likely. They're not the only kids who knew what was going on, and none of the other kids have been charged AFAIKT.

You know what I love most about this whole entire story? That Spinderella will not let her foot off of Lori's neck! You're damn right I'm not! LOL Nothing sets me off more than entitled people who claim to be Christian or being good people and doing good. Only to find that they are schmucks who lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want. I secretly wish that Judge Judy could be the judge in their trial, with no jury. HAHA It would make for some good TV!

I would be shocked if any of the kids are charged. Most if not all of them were minors when it went down.

I wouldn't count those little bitches out just yet. The Moughlins are still well connected to people who believe they didn't do anything wrong, they just got caught and it's terribly unfair and everyone bends the rules to do right by their precious children and y'all are jus' jellus and...you get the idea. Olivia Jade definitely seems like an entitled little b, but the older one, Isabella, seems more introverted and complicit than anything else. I really don't know the details so I could be totally wrong. I like that in Felicity Huffman's apology that she pointed out what a horrible thing she did to the students who applied fair and square and were denied enrollment because people like her lied and cheated the system. If the Moughlin's would show an ounce of remorse or humility in this whole mess then maybe they wouldn't be so vilified. I understand they can't say much as the case still hasn't gone to trial, but maybe don't go gallivanting around town to the country club, private yoga sessions, etc. with a smug expression on your face.

I don't feel sorry for the poor little rich people, don't get me wrong. But I do think 40 years in prison (or anything close to it), which is the most recent estimate, is hella overkill for a nonviolent offender.
