I really like Kate’s look today esp the colour of her trousers and the blockier heeled shoe, tho I’m not totally sold on the length of trousers but that’s all. I don't like that look at all. The jacket looks creased and her trousers are half-mast. The whole look is totally plain - there's nothing special about it at all. I think that's the worst outfit I've seen on her. |

And "The royals comforted the father of teenager Molly Russell today who killed herself after viewing graphic suicide content on Instagram. William, who has been highly critical of tech giants in their response to online bullying and other problems, questioned whether companies like Instagram were doing enough when he and Kate met Ian Russell at an event for volunteers who help people in crisis." Instagram is owned by Facebook, and Mark Zuckerberg has shown himself time and time again to not take kindly to criticism of any kind.  |

That's not a good look from someone that allegedly has impeccable taste and tailoring. Those pants are a serious fashion don't. In the immortal words of Michael Kors, "The crotch on those pants is insane." Maybe she was supposed to wear a skirt, and Louis spilled something on it, and the pants were a last minute substitution? I have no idea who would try to make floods happen. And the chunkier shoe heel makes the high waters look even more bizarre. There has to be better budget conscious clothes out there. Maybe she should stick to the long, fitted dresses.  She is a pretty lady, but if you told me she was 47 I would have no trouble believing it. Word. She really needs to watch her angles. In some photos she looks fine, and in others she looks rode hard and put away wet. She has been looking particularly haggard since Louis's birth. Too much weight loss too fast? Stress of three young kids? Smoking? I'm sure it's all cumulative, but it all adds up to her looking a decade older than she actually is. |

Pearl clutching over commentary on fashion styles, and a woman's looks? Did the rules change while I was out sick? I thought everything was supposed to be snarkable around here, including mental health.

Her pants are on trend. As a matter of fact, lots of women are complaining that full length pants aren't readily available now bc winter is coming and all our ankles are always exposed.
I like the look. It's casual, which we aren't used to seeing her in. She does wear those dresses all the time, so this is refreshing.

I've read a lot of posts on this board and I've never seen anyone making fun (which is what snarking is to me) of anyone's mental health. But go ahead and pat yourself on the back for being brave and not "pearl clutching" I guess. |

I think Kate is one of those people whose face has settled at a particular age (older than her actual age) and that she will look the same for the next 25 years. So she may look mid-40s now, but she will look mid-40s in her 60s.
I knew a guy that looked 22 for about 35 years and then when he turned 60--BOOM--he all of a sudden looked 60. But he had that boyish charm for the first 60 years of his life. And he didn't look bad at 60; he just caught up with his wife (who was younger than he was but was always being mistaken for his mother). I think the same thing will happen to Kate and possible William.
I think she always looks good and stylish. She has luxurious hair and an enviable figure. It's just her face is a little more lined that what we are used to for someone in their 30s who is in the public eye and has access to the best fancy skin regimes, etc. Maybe it's sudden weight loss, maybe she smokes, maybe she doesn't wear sun screen, maybe that's just her genetic face. She seems comfortable in her skin.
