Jeez, I regret coming in here and reading such an ugly, shaming post. Thank you for this post, and for what it's worth I see nothing pearl clutch-y here. I suspect any lines on her face are because she is VERY slim, but any weight gain would also get commented on pretty quickly so, you know, what's a princess to do. Both of her parents look completely normal so the 'aging odds' are on her side.

I actually think Kate does a nice job wearing what I'd consider "work clothes" - i.e. professional clothing that is appropriate and respectful to the setting but designed to not be particularly talked about or overshadow the occasion. I think another royal who consistently does that well is Letizia. I think they both recognize that sometimes they shouldn't be the story.

(The military embellishments on her black Remembrance Day outfit reminded me of Michael Jackson and his fake military costumes.) But I agree that she has really mastered the formula for how to dress successfully for her job. I frequently don't care for her outfits, but she always looks appropriate to the occasion and impeccably groomed. I don't think Kate would ever show up to a wedding trying to be cutting edge with a hat that would become a meme a la Princess Beatrice and that thing she wore to the Sussex wedding.

I really hope we aren't going to have problems here with Greecies aiming their snark guns at other Greecies. That's not acceptable on this forum at any time, so put an end to it now.
For the record, we snark on anyone in the public eye including their appearance, behavior, fashion sense (or lack thereof) and any manner of newsworthy event. If you don't like it or disagree with the opinions of others here, you are welcomed to ignore their posts. You are not, however, welcomed to slam them openly on the forum.
Also for the record, we do NOT snark on anyone's mental health status here because that invites drama and your mods are tired enough as it is.
Carry on.

I think in general Kate is a woman that's very happy with her life, but I wouldn't doubt that this Harry and Meghan drama (whether sensationalized or not) is taking a toll.
Her and Harry used to be so close. Magazines and fans loved their sibling bromance relationship and I think Harry really benefitted from having that type of warm female (sisterly) relationship in his life, someone who could joke with him and make the work fun (especially compared to the more serious Will and other royals).
Even at Easter, when he and Will didn't speak much, Harry went straight to Kate and was talking her up, and then of course he went to the Anzac ceremony with her when he didn't have to (amidst the cheating rumors).
My point is, they were very close and I'm sure its tiring to see them either under attack or pulling away, especially when her own brother is going through his own depression. And with her being such a family-oriented person it must be especially difficult if she has to keep a distance and let things play out.
Plus, everything else she has going on in life. My two cents.

I agree with this. I'm pretty much a jeans and blouses kind of girl and I like Kate's style. The clothes fit well and she's great at putting looks together that while I don't always love them, I don't ever feel like they're not working.

I must be the only one who isn’t a fan of her “uniform” of coat dresses which is why I’m liking the trousers and jacket moments she’s trying now. I don’t think we saw her in looser flared culottes/cropped trousers that weren’t her skin tight jjeggings or sports event related until recently enough I think.

Her evening uniform is often a lace dress; I love this one. The event was the Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall. I especially like that she didn't wear a necklace, which allows the neckline to really set off her face.

I like the dress but I think the look is unfinished. She could benefit from some more bling-y colored jewelry like sapphires or emeralds, maybe a hair ornament and a bracelet if not a necklace.

I don't think a bracelet would have gone with the sleeves at all, but that necklines cries out for a honkin' necklace.
