I've been having a difficult time at work lately. But, I tell myself, I haven't jammed a giant ship in the Suez (or any other) canal! Also, I don't have to explain to my difficult boss how I ended up jamming a ship in the Suez canal, and I don't have to fix this.
I hope they get this ship unstuck and moved soon.

For decades this country has glamorized violence and romanticized war. It’s nauseating and I don’t know how we ever undo that.

Yes, but last night " PUT IT BACK" was trending on Twitter, which cracked me up.

Is there such a thing as PRE traumatic stress disorder? The Derek Chauvin trial coverage is really getting to me. I became infuriated this morning when I heard that the defense is arguing that crowd distracted the officers so much they couldn’t help but kill George Floyd.
That’s right! It’s the crowd that was pleading with them to get off Floyd’s neck that was the reason he died!

I listened to The Daily's episode about the start of the trial yesterday and they said a defense strategy will be to argue that George Floyd's preexisting heart condition and drug use was responsible for his death, not having a full-grown man kneel on his neck for 10 minutes. I would like to know if they could get any volunteers who are healthy, no pre-existing conditions or history of drug use and allow a 175 pound (-ish?) man kneel on their neck for 10 minutes and see what happens. I would not sign up for that.

When I’m at my parents and fox is on 24 hours a day, they present the world as a super scary place. And it’s right outside your door!! The baddies! Are coming! And they have it all on an endless loop all day long, with no other viewpoint, so it becomes the reality. Just hate and fear, fear and hate. Of COURSE you need guns. I don't know. Sometimes I think American are scared of their own reflections.

I got my law degree at the University of Law and Order, but I am confused by this defense. Did the fact that he had a heart condition and used drugs mean that no one could hear him gasping "I can't breathe"?
