I think her apology comes across as sincere. She's probably learned a lot in the last few years dealing with high-level trolling herself. And she has talked about having a drinking problem. People can grow up a heck of a lot in 11 years.
Edit: Just to be clear, none of that makes what she said or did okay. But I'm not going to hold it against her forever. I'd hate people to hold 24/25 year old me against me forever.

I think there is a difference between trolling / shitting on someone online and telling someone to kill themselves. That’s horrible. I could maybe excuse that as a youthful screw-up if Chrissy was a teenager but she was old enough to know better.

I can now believe that she is prone to genuine social media addiction. I think getting so worked up at someone that you are telling them to kill themselves is a symptom.

I just don't get that being your go to comment to someone you don't like online.

I wish DM and other outlets would be less gleeful about what is now happening to Chrissy. The whole thing is awful. Chrissy was terrible. Frillions followed her on Twitter BECAUSE she was horrible. So will all those who 'liked' the hateful comments suffer consequences too?
I can't take pleasure in this public kicking her while she's down. And I really like my Cravings all purpose pan.

That pan was made with good intentions. Use it with your head held high. (Maybe just don’t be like Chrissy in your DMs. Those intentions are not as good it seems 😬)

And the hits just keep coming. Cancel culture has its problems but when it shows up for the right one, it's right on time. Chrissy has BEEN problematic from the jump. I've never liked her at all and her nastiness takes away from John's nice guy attitude, which is also sus. If you're married to a person who's constantly horrible to others, what does that say about you?
And yeah I know she won't actually be "cancelled" - rich and famous people never are, are they?

I really enjoy the show Never Have I Ever and I'm glad Chrissy's being replaced, not because I insist upon her cancellation but because I have no idea what she has to offer there. John McEnroe's narration is hilarious and I think Andy Samberg's narration was good too. Their celebrity personas were part of the joke.
To me, Chrissy is just an influencer with an overactive twitter account. I'm not aware of what personality she actually has or why she would be an asset to that show.

If you're married to a person who's constantly horrible to others, what does that say about you? And yeah I know she won't actually be "cancelled" - rich and famous people never are, are they? I just have to say that it is wild to me how effectively "cancel culture" has been demonized and cast as some great threat to modern life. In the last few months, almost every time I've seen discussion about a person in the news whose done something controversial, it's either "I hate cancel culture. Leave them alone" or "I hate cancel culture, but they deserve repercussions." (I'm not calling you out, wixy, but I see this EVERYWHERE, even in other threads here.) The implication being that cancel culture (something that is largely imaginary) is a manifestation of the liberal lynch mob and you have to preface any opinion by clarifying that you're not some reactionary, oversensitive leftist wackadoo. Recently on social media, I've seen prolonged bullying dramas surrounding balloon arches, people not allowing their dogs on furniture and counterfeit shoes. And for the most part, people just seem to accept that that's how an internet works when anyone on earth can go viral at any time and algorithms seem to reward controversy. But if something or someone can be framed as "woke", it's portrayed as uniquely fragile and especially vicious.

Last week I nearly cancelled my dog for gettin' on my couch in her counterfeit shoes but-topic?
My crusty black heart dances with joy each time a celebrity/public person I've loathed in seeming solitude forever gets exposed as nasty biatches. Hey-bye, Chrissy, if you see Ellen tell her daisy wasn't fooled. Next I'll be waiting for the media to remember A-rod is a backstabbing cheating cheater with pants afire.
