I wouldn’t have recognized her. She must have gotten another batch of Japanese potatoes in. I have no idea what this means. Off to google! Basically, a few years ago she was approached about her face looking different. The obvious assumption was fillers and/or plastic surgery but she said it was due to eating Japanese potatoes that plump your skin and make you look different. Lol. From reading some of these posts about John looking unrecognizable, maybe she is sharing the potatoes with him. |

There have been internet rumblings that she’s pregnant. That certainly may explain why she’s looking a little different. If true, it would certainly prove the spin that this is new, they are taking things slowly and they only juuust starting dating is a lie…
The obviously staged photo op does strike me that they are trying a wee but too hard….

Basically, a few years ago she was approached about her face looking different. The obvious assumption was fillers and/or plastic surgery but she said it was due to eating Japanese potatoes that plump your skin and make you look different. Lol. This was one of those "Olivia Munn rubs me the wrong way" moments. Like, she didn't have to comment at all. She doesn't owe anyone an explanation for changes to her appearance. It is, ultimately, none of our damn business. But she did decide to comment, and it was so clearly bullshit that I was thinking, "Just how stupid does she think we are?" So yeah, blamed the filler/smoothed out look on eating a lot of Japanese potatoes, which have hyaluronic acid. But she would have had to have eaten a shit-ton of potatoes to get such a visible difference. And they make hyaluronic acid supplements, which I'm sure contain a higher concentration of HA than Japanese potatoes, and you still wouldn't see dramatic results like that. But that's not the excuse she went with. She went with the truly asinine "I ate a bunch of potatoes" instead of "I took a supplement" or "none of your business" or just not saying anything at all. And then she doubled-down on the stupid when people also noticed that her freckles disappeared. Again, instead of just not saying anything or just admitting "I didn't like them, so I had them lasered off" she pulled out some "I used glycolic acid pads several times a day and that got rid of them" nonsense. No. No, you didn't. Glycolic acid isn't going to get rid of freckles. And if you were scrubbing your face with glycolic acid pads several times a day, you would completely trash your skin, and her face would have been a red, irritated mess. Like, why did she feel compelled to say anything at all, especially since she railed against the Fug Girls in a misdirected rant about how women's looks are always scrutinized. Why didn't she say, "None of your business" or just ignore the comments? (The answer is at least in part that she was clearly trying to have her version of a "Me Too" moment and bizarrely decided to call out the Fug Girls as the worst offenders when they are one of the least offenders of the fashion blog world). And if she felt compelled to say anything, why did she decide to go with something that was so clearly bullshit? Either she's an idiot or she thinks we are all idiots. Or both, I guess. Like, they had to get it out there and establish themselves as a couple before she started to show. If that is the case, then that has to feel like a real slap in the face to Mulaney's ex-wife, since they always said they were intentionally childless. He does look different, but I think it is the weight gain and the hair. I'm not surprised he looks different because it seems some people trade one addiction/behavior for another. Like when Robert Downey, Jr first got clean (and maybe still now, I don't know) he got super into working out and supplements. He traded one intense behavior for another. If Mulaney stopped drinking/drugs, he may be eating instead. But this is all reaffirming my thought of "Man, he's just out there making all the wrong choices." Those pictures are so, so obviously staged. Mulaney didn't used to do that. I don't think I ever really saw much of him outside of work-related appearances. My brain broke for a minute in clicking on the linked pap pictures, scrolling down and seeing the shot of Olivia Munn in a sweatshirt the next morning after the lunch of “laughing and talking.” (Wow, what a scoop.) Not living on the West Coast, I just assumed L.A. was somewhere in the range of “hot” like I was hearing it was in the Pacific Northwest. So I was like, no way is she pregnant and comfortable wearing a sweatshirt in the middle of summer, but I guess it had been getting pretty cool overnight there, eh? So I actually could believe she’s pregnant because a sweatshirt is a great way to cover that situation for a minute.
I am Team “Anna Marie Get Yourself a Big Fat Divorce Settlement.” And I have to admit that I don’t really have the same positive vibes towards Mulaney that I did before. I know that’s crazy because I don’t have any clue what his marriage was like or anything, but I just *hate* seeing women getting crapped upon, and him carrying on with a bigger star simultaneously upon divorcing his wife irritates the crap out of me.

Yeah, I found him very funny and the stuff he did with Nick Kroll was so up my alley in that offbeat comedy sort of way. None of this recent behavior fits in with that guy he seemed to be OR the crowd that he rolled with. It's so generic, B-list Hollywood behavior and I do think it will negatively impact his career over time.

The weight gain could also be due to him being off drugs. I know his addiction was predominantly alcohol but if he was doing coke or meth those could have sped up his metabolism.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Olivia was pregnant. She's 40 so she's almost out of time to have kids if she wants them, and John seems to be riding the post-breakup wave of euphoria.

Yeah, he's definitely hitting most of the spots on the post-divorce bingo card with the exception of the weight gain, usually it's the other way. I don't think being yoked to Olivia Munn for life is going to seem nearly as fun as soon as that euphoria of freedom and a new relationship wears off, so I hope for his sake that she is not actually pregnant. |

Not living on the West Coast, I just assumed L.A. was somewhere in the range of “hot” like I was hearing it was in the Pacific Northwest. We have what we call "June gloom" in the mornings. The weather is overcast with the sun breaking through in the late morning or early afternoon. Not sure what time the pictures were taken but I had on a light jacket one morning while walking my dog. Anything below 70 is technically cold for me and I'll always put on a jacket so I don't think Olivia wearing an oversized sweatshirt is a sign she's pregnant. With that said, I totally think she's pregnant. Her t-shirt at lunch was a dead give away. The only way that t-shirt makes sense is she had no clothes and had to borrow one of John's shirts. I'm on #teampregnant |
