Didn’t they famously part ways with Sunshine Sachs because they didn’t want to take their advice? The Sussexes apparently knew better than paid professionals. I can’t say I think this hire will be more successful.
Besides I think trying to improve their popularity in the UK is a lost cause at the moment. The rest of the family are doing just fine without these two.

I agree that improving their PR in the UK is a lost cause. They should just focus on what they're doing that's meaningful to them, and forget trying to win over anybody. (But... like any other people with huge egos, that's easier said than done.).

I don't think they know what is meaningful to them- besides attention and accolades. I think this is why they are throwing so many "ideas" out there about what they plan to do, but nothing comes to fruition. They are 2 very lost individuals seeking attention and wanting praise. For what; they don't even seem to know.

They’re so shallow and stubborn. Again, they only want the fame/fortune and none of the hard work it takes to get there.
All they do is navel-gaze and have fleeting not-well-thought-out ideas and act on it, contrary to everyone’s advice, and then wonder why they continue to flop. How many so-called comebacks has Meghan had so far? Fuck, it’s embarrassing. They’ll continue this cycle until they realize the problem is them.
Also, no one likes them. They’re unlikeable, truly. Meghan is so patently fake and inauthentic. Harry looks fucking miserable all the time. I don’t see them at A-list events because they’re not invited to them. (But, lol, they issue statements about having “previous commitments” to cover that up.) They only attend sham award ceremonies to pick up awards they’ve paid for. Travelling to Jamaica, of all places, for a film premiere was a hoot. Because Hollywood film premieres are beneath them?
They take themselves SO SERIOUSLY, but they’re just a couple of idiots prancing about Montecito, holier-than-thou, with their titles from a foreign land and family who say “Who dis?” when Harry telephones.

It's become a standard procedure for Harry's PR to plant articles along the lines of "Harry's extended an olive branch, but his family refuses to engage and continues to be horrible." We've got two new pieces referencing this brief. Why Won’t the Royals Support Prince Harry’s Invictus Games?Prince Harry is offering an olive branch to royal family — but not getting much response"Sources" have been deployed by camp Sussex to plant these stories. Harry doesn't genuinely want to make peace. He needs publicity for Invictus, and having a big moment of perceived "reconciliation" with his family, even getting one member to attend, would get major headlines. And when they fail to take them up on the offer, he can then use their refusal to get headlines. So in short, he doesn't care about reconciling, because if he did it would start with genuine, private apologies. Not planting stories about olive branches being refused. And he wouldn't use his family to plug his initiative. Invictus definitely needs a PR reset because the whole thing has become Meghan's personal fashion week. Her prancing around in a series of designer outfits, coupled with Harry using Invictus "olive branches" to whack at his family has taken the focus off of where it should be - veterans. Exactly for so many outlets IG has become nothing more than the Harry and Meghan publicity tour, which is disheartening. This does happen with some royal events (the royal is the story not the organisation) but more often than not their teams work hard to make sure the cause gets a lot of write up and is the focus. If one of his family turned up it would be a circus of Windsor Soap Opera, the last thing anyone needs. And it's a bit rich of him/his PR to complain that no one wants to "support" IG when you know that if they did turn up Harry would just use it to bash them "what right to do they have to use MY event about MY veterans for their own purposes, they just use me!!" etc etc. ETA: Suddenly two extra pages I didn't see before showed up and everyone has covered it! Not sure how that happened. Can't wait for their publicity offensive in the UK, should be fun. Although I don't know why they bother to employ expensive PR firms when it's clear that they don't listen to them. Anyone of their revolving door of staff can send things to Page Six or other outlets and it will get printed. Although maybe their reputations would be further in the crapper without a PR team. Thoughts?

Why would his paternal side support him, he doesn’t like them and he wrote a book about how horrible they were to him and his wife. As for Earl Spencer, were his eldest daughters in attendance? Two of them have gotten married and he didn’t attend either wedding , so it isn’t like that is a very cohesive family as well.

There should have been some representation or acknowledgment from the King at the Invictus Event because it looks like the monarch doesnt support his own veterans out of spite towards his son. After all the people Invictus support and help serve or served the monarch in HIS (Her)MAJESTY’S ARMED FORCES. Does the monarch usually do something for Invictus? I don't recall, although I've honestly never paid much attention to it. Has it been confirmed that Harry invited his father? I would have thought he'd want to keep his father (and brother) out of Invictus, to keep the attention focused on himself the athletes rather than family drama.

No, neither the monarch nor anyone else in the family has ever attended any Invictus-related events apart from the inaugural games in London in 2014.
Queen Elizabeth never even attended the games, which I guess shows she cared nothing about HER MAJESTY'S ARMED FORCES.

I always forget about the Spencers. Jane's husband was one of QEII's closest advisers as her private secretary. Earl Spencer's kids show up to the opening of an envelope these days so maybe they didn't show up to this since their father was going to be there. I agree their family has some weird dynamics going on.
