Tried to post this in the other thread and suddenly everything disappeared on me.
The unfortunate thing for Lilibet is that she is carrying a moniker that will always be in question as to whether the Queen actually approved of it. If I were Harry or Meghan I think I’d feel sick to my stomach knowing I had announced a name to honor my grandmother that it turns out granny really wasn’t happy about. Oops.
But what do you do now? Change it? No way they take that route. Plead their case to the Queen in an attempt to get her to issue a statement confirming she’s delighted by this tribute? Just ride it out? Threatening lawsuits has just made the situation several times worse since the Palace isn’t backing them up. I guess it will just be one more example in their minds of the lack of support they receive from the institution.

Thinking it over, The Queen was kind of a stone cold bitch this week and I'm not sure how I feel about it.
H&M have ragged on her life's work, her parenting, her official decisions, her use of the word royal, the word service, said her dying husband's hospitalization was a ploy to shut them up, called them racist, name dropped her constantly for their own gain, and all because they thought she'd remain silent.
Then their baby is born, H&M name it after TQ, and for a split second it looks like a happy, positive move forward.
Until the Queen says, "I'm not okay with that kid's name and Harry and Meghan aren't as close to me as they think."
Damn. That's globally humiliating. It's almost cruel how much she ruined this happy moment in their lives and destroyed any perception that H&M are close to royalty.
And they can't attack her for it because that would be treasonous. Not that they'd be executed, but they'd absolutely lose the titles. For once, H&M actually have to swallow the pill and take it.
Wow. Wow

Man, you miss a few days of gossip and you miss a lot!
I feel bad for the baby and the baby only. They made a conscious decision to bring QE into this whole thing. My dear husband doesn’t know anything about Royals other than reading a few mainstream articles here and there and maybe some random tweets. Even he said “they’re trying to suck up to the Queen, huh?” when he heard what the name was.
They just can’t seem to get out of their own way. Just stop lying! That’s it! It’s not hard. Don’t say QE approved it when she clearly didn’t. Soon enough they’ll cry and complain about how terrible the media and the firm are, when it’s really them that’s to blame.

Quoting this from the previous thread, because it really sums up the situation, and Meghan and Harry in general right now.
There's nothing healthy or therapeutic about what Harry and Meghan are constantly doing. At this stage, you're basically bullying your 95-year-old grandmother, I don't care what he says about how she's totes okay with everything, she's absolutely not at fault, it's always the institution.
Bitch please. She's the CEO of the institution. I didn't realise today is also what would have been her husband's 100th birthday. They've not let up on her through her grieving. She doesn't even get the grace of defending the use of her OWN NICKNAME. The arrogance of Harry is mind boggling.
They are pathetic, entitled, arrogant privileged snots. Their baby is a week old and she's probably more emotionally mature than two grown ass adults.
From Richard Kay in the DM:
After the Bashir debacle, I can imagine the above being true and they are not going to publish anything that can get them sued. But sue away Harkles. That's your brand now.
I don't care about them monetizing their titles and all that anymore. Let them have all that and royal from California to their heart's content. I just wish the Queen would cut family times with him. I know she wont, but just saying. I can't imagine anyone treating a family member the way he has and then still expecting hugs and coddles and Zoom calls. What an asshole he's turned out to be.

But, yeah. @@ C'mon, Your Majesty, do something about Andrew now. Surely you should be more pissed off at him?

I still don't get what it is that they did that was so bad. The name? Moving away from the UK? Saying that they didn't like living the royal lifestyle?

I still don't get what it is that they did that was so bad. The name? Moving away from the UK? Saying that they didn't like living the royal lifestyle? Calling someone in the family racist but refusing to say who it was, leaving everyone open to suspicion. Criticising the family's parenting and accusing them of causing "genetic pain", whatever that is. Publishing their manifesto before clearing it with anyone, then throwing hissy fits when most of it was crossed out by the Queen because it was clearly never going to be possible to be half-in, half-out. Telling the world that the rest of the family is "trapped". Accusing the family of not being willing to help someone who was suicidal, when it actually appears that they were never told that person was suicidal as the person's spouse was too embarrassed to talk about it. Assuming that the UK and/or the family would be happy to carry on paying security costs as they were "internationally protected persons". They are not, and can pay for their own security. Continuing to use their Duke and Duchess titles while living in a country that supposedly doesn't recognise said titles.
