RIP Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman.
I learned a lot about toxic relationships and the patterns of domestic violence from their murder trial so that's a positive I guess.

I learned a lot about race relations. The O.J. Simpson trial was the first public event where I learned that I needed to parse my words. It seemed like it went on for months, and after a few weeks I just made up my mind I wasn't going to talk about it with anyone I didn't know well (and that I knew agreed with me). I believed he was guilty and I still do.

As a black person (the verdict was played during 8th grade chemistry class), I knew he was guilty and angry at the black classmates' "celebration" of a rich asshole literally getting away with murder. I truly hope there's healing for Justin and Sydney who've lost both parents in awful ways.

I truly hope there's healing for Justin and Sydney who've lost both parents in awful ways. I was dumbfounded at some of the reactions — and sickened that two innocent people, who were horrifically murdered were virtually forgotten. I feel for his kids and for the Brown and Goldman families, as this must bring up some painful memories. One thing I recall is the reaction of the Oprah audience. Some were literally dancing for joy. (I don’t follow Oprah or know a lot about her, but I was heartened that she looked pissed.)
