Didn't Tom have a say in his two oldest kids not to have a relationship with Nicole Kidman?

Didn't Tom have a say in his two oldest kids not to have a relationship with Nicole Kidman? Given how bitter their divorce was, I wouldn't be surprised if he had.

I thought the rumours were that the eldest two children were the children of Scientology members and had to be raised in the “religion” hence Cruise for custody. Lower level Scientology members I.e. the Sea Org are discouraged or even forbidden from ha children. Takes away from their ability to do all that unpaid manual labour if they have children to raise! So I always thought that Nicole really didn’t stand a chance if Scientology was heavily involved in the adoption of the children.

I remember reading a post-divorce interview with Nicole and the topic of Bella's adoption came up. I remember this quote vividly, she said, "Bella's adoption . . . There's an interesting story there" but didn't elaborate. Bella and Connor were the first celeb kids I recall where people said they were "fake kids from central casting" and not really being raised by Nicole and Tom, who had a sham marriage. I never believed that, but they were likely adopted from other Scienos. So yeah, that's a pretty interesting story. The CoS planted an entire field of wheat just so Tom and Nicole could run through it romantically. I can totally believe that they'd magically make two adoptable kids appear when N&T decided to become parents.

Good job, Suri!
18 years flew by way too fast!

Yes, good for Suri! And good for Katie--I think she's done a phenomenal job judging by how little we've seen of Suri following the divorce.
I wonder how much Suri remembers about Tom? Does she remember being dragged around like a prop in her early childhood?

Hopefully, Suri only had fleeting yet pleasant memories of Tom. Her life's better without cult weirdness.

Side note: this mini-trend of celebrity children going to rigorous colleges is a bright spot against the recent nepo-baby invasion in entertainment. Whatever I think of their work or personas, I commend Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Eminem, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Katie Holmes for encouraging their children to seek post-secondary education (that's not USC*). Obviously, they had immense privilege that helped them be in a position to become desirable candidates, won't struggle while attending, and can study whatever they want without regard to job prospects after graduation. But being at those institutions in the first place at least exposes them to people and places they would not have otherwise encountered.
* Nothing against USC. It's become a lot more academically competitive in the past 20 or so years, the Varsity Blues scandal notwithstanding. But it also seems to be the de rigeur choice for many celeb kids if they go to college at all.

College is so expensive, nepo babbies should go since they won't be saddled with crippling student debt!
Stares at $95,000 student loan bill...
