For some reason I felt really sad seeing her on stage at the Oscars. It's like seeing someone who is anorexic (maybe more than "like"). She must have some pretty serious body image issues. I ADORE her personality, but the woman's got to be pretty messed up to subject herself to that much plastic surgery. Nah, I think Dolly's okay. She's always been kind of cartoony. She says herself that it costs a lot of money to look that cheap. She knows how she looks, and she does it on purpose. I don't think that it's body image issues - she's getting old (she's gotta be sixty). The pounds probably just don't stay on like they used to. My mom's her age, and she has gotten skinny over the past couple of years without trying. I think it just happens to some people.

I watched the Oscar performance yesterday. I love that she wrote that song. I wish that some Christians would listen closely to the lyrics and think long and hard about them.

I think most of it is "age-defying" surgery. She's not necessarily trying to completely change her figures, she's just fighting age. And she's totally upfront about it.
It's like Cher said, if she wants to put her boobs on her back, it's her own business. I admire that attitude a hell of a lot more than someone like Jacko, who claims he only had two nose jobs-and those were to help him BREATHE better!
It's mostly the bleach and the make up and the nails I think. And quite frankly, she's so cool, as far as I'm concerned, she's entitled to be a surgery/make-up addict. If that's her biggest problem, we should all be so lucky!

What's up with her marriage? Is it an open arrangement? Is she a lesbian?
Not that there's anything wrong with any of those options. I'm just curious about the rumors over the years.

I've heard both and all of the above. I don't think anyone'll ever know.

I love the way she walked on that stage Oscar night shouting "Woo-hoo! All the way from Dollywood to Hollywood!!"
She just owned that moment, and it really showed all the prima donnas with self-important sticks up their asses who their momma really was.

I'm usually not a big fan of country and bluegrass, but she's so funny, honest, and refreshing that I can't help but absolutely adore her. Yay Dolly!

I'm totally hormonal, but I cried when she sang the song. I mean how awesome is it that she wrote a gospel about transgender tolerance? I love love love that woman.

Dolly's pretty upfront that she wears wigs all the time; I guess she doesn't even know what her own hair really looks like. Quote: "Sure, I look like the girl next door, if you happen to live next door to an amusement park."

I've always wondered what's going on underneath that wig. I have the same thoughts about Whitney Houston. And Joan Collins. And lately Cher.
