Brad Pitt sues Angelina.

Brad Pitt is suing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling her stake in the French vineyard they bought together.

Pitt says he and his former wife agreed not to sell their stakes in the venue without the permission of the other.

But Jolie sold her share to a spirits manufacturer owned by a Russian oligarch, according to the lawsuit. Jolie has not yet commented.

[Brad] said Jolie sold her stake without his knowledge to a Luxembourg-based spirits manufacturer controlled by Russian businessman Yuri Shefler.

"She sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt's investment in Miraval," the lawsuit claimed.

His lawyers said the move had intended to cause "gratuitous harm" to Pitt, who had "poured money and sweat equity into the wine business".

Millions plus the opportunity to stick it to Brad. I'm not surprised she did it (assuming this is all true).

That lawsuit reminds me of the episode of Reno 911 in which Dangle fights with his ex-wife about all of the "sweat equity" he put into their trailer.

I don't blame Angelina for wanting out of the business, but forcing Brad into business with a Russian oligarch that he doesn't want to and can't work well with is a shitty thing to do. Brad lent her a huge amount of money to cover for her cash flow issues so she could buy a $25 million house. There is a consistent lack of similar generosity on her part when it comes to how she treats Brad, and that's putting it kindly.

I think her grudge-grinding and this divorce are eating her inside. She should try forgiveness, instead.

Only Angelina could be the one to be sued by a guy for daring to not want to own a business with him years after their separation, and be classified as the one holding a grudge.

I really doubt Brad wants to remain in business with Angelina either, given how disastrously the two of them get along as co-parents. But she could have done him the courtesy of selling her stake to a buyer he found agreeable. It's not too much to ask.

At a certain level of vineyard profitability, I don't imagine you can sell it to anyone particularly savory. But it's definitely not a good look!

Well, Brad may get his wish. In light of recent events there’s a loud call to hit these oligarchs where it hurts and start seizing and freezing assets…..
