I was a teenager in the 70s, when we all did the straight hair/center part thing. A cursory glance through my high-school yearbooks will confirm that this hairstyle flatters almost no one. Not even 18-years-olds with thick, lustrous hair. |

Only Caroline Bessette Kennedy looks good with stick-straight, center-parted hair. And maybe Iman.

Carolyn Bessette only wore a center part from time to time, and it was usually like this. It's natural looking, as if to appear that she didn't put a lot of effort into it, and that her hair is just gorgeous without a lot of fussing. It also has some body. Paltrow's center part has always been about ironing it completely flat and making sure it falls forward to blanket her face. And she usually likes to pair it with raccoon eyes. It's a look that is all about visible effort. We all get old, but I would like to think that if Bessette were still around, she would still be keeping it fresh. |

Carolyn also didn't have that weird root situation. She did color her hair, but it looked natural rather than tie-dyed.

This length was so, so good. It was about ten years ago, but man I wish she'd consider something like that again. Colorwise, I think this was more flattering. It's close to her natural color, I believe.

Yes, I like the first link you posted.
I liked both her haircuts in Sliding Doors. Remember she had a very short blonde cut and longer dark golden/light brown hair.

I'm curious to know if others think that Gwyneth actually loves running her goop business or if she is desperate to go public, sell her shares, and be done with it. Also, does she put in the number of work hours a 'normal' CEO does? I can't picture her sacrificing her life of leisure and luxury. She strikes me as someone who MUST get in their sauna/exercise/massage/facials time. I know she has a lot of money and a lot of help, but you still would have to put in a ton of hours to run a business like that, no? She seems to be doing a lot less galavanting around at parties and public events. But she is looking ROUGH and has aged 20 years in the past 5, IMO. I would love to know what's going on behind the scenes. Goop seems in my face everywhere these days. I wondered if she's hyping it up for a public offering.
