Bonne Maman jam is where it’s at for me. I can get a massive jar for $10 at Costco, and I’m sure it tastes better than most.

The Daily Mail which is usually pretty spot on when it comes to Meghan says that she hasn’t been able to hire a CEO for American Riveria Whatever. Guess the revolving door of staffers at Archewell and track record of bullying isn’t a winning combination. The Mail also thinks Netflix might be considering going on with Meghan on her brand and using the Netflix platform to promote it. I can’t really see them wanting to waste much more money on the Sussexes but we’ll see…

Wait. Bonne Maman has Costco sized jars? Hot damn! Not to go too off-topic, but you must pick up the Bonne Manan Advent calendar in the fall! Mini jars of flavors that they don't offer otherwise. I always buy it for myself and hide them in the back of the pantry from the rest of my family (particularly the hungry teenager). Last year's flavors were terrific, especially the Lemon Elderberry, Blueberry Maple, and Purple Fig. (And why isn't American Riviera Orchard doing something like this instead of mundane Strawberry?) Apple, Quince and Pine Honey Apricot & Peach Apricot with Orange Blossom Blueberry Maple Cherry Honey Chestnut Cherry and Pink Peppercorns Coffee Caramel Lemon Elderberry Mango, Raspberry & Lime Mirabelle Plum and Linden Guava Pear with Cocoa Nibs Pineapple with Passion Fruit Pineapple with Yuzu Purple Fig and Cinnamon Quince with pieces Raspberry & Rose Red Fruit and Blackcurrant Rhubarb & Spices Strawberry & Wild Strawberry Strawberry Rhubarb White Nectarine & Peach Wild Red Fruits

Sophie had given an interview where she claimed to need a team to help her, as she had so many requests for her time that she needed help to do "her work". She was reminded by the general public that Canada does not have a First Lady, and she didn't in fact have a job representing Canada. I think I read that Meghan referred to Sophie today as a First Lady? Nope Meghan, wrong again. As a Canadian, I am miffed and disappointed that Sophie was a guest on the podcast. LOL, yeah, Sophie supports the PM in his job by standing and clapping her hands by his side or whatever, but she carries no official duties (that I’m aware of) on behalf of the country. I’m pretty sure that if she does show up at speaking events without the PM, it’s because she’s being paid to speak at that event or at least getting expenses covered. It was revealed a few years ago during the WE Charity scandal that Trudeau’s mom and brother were paid for speaking engagements for the charity. Sophie’s appearances were expenses-paid. I would wager that Archewell paid for Sophie to guest on Meghan’s insipid podcast. I know the Daily Mail can be complete BS but they do know how to call a spade a spade. Sophie right now is promoting her new memoir post divorce from Justin and The Times London asked her about her friendship with Meghan, and she totally downplayed it, basically denied they were friends. She is quoted as saying that she "knew" Meghan but had not spent much time with her. DM now has this story along with selfie of the two with Sophie kissing Meghan on the cheek.

Not to go too off-topic, but you must pick up the Bonne Manan Advent calendar in the fall! Mini jars of flavors that they don't offer otherwise. On the Bonne Maman US website right now, you can buy a gift set with three special-edition "exotic" flavors: Strawberry-Guava (this was also in the 2023 Advent calendar), Pineapple with Rum and Vanilla, and Orange-Mandarin-Passion Fruit. They are DELICIOUS. The Advent calendars can be difficult to find, but I usually get mine from the Bonne Maman US website; I've also found them at World Market. If Meghan is going to make jam, she should do some interesting, unusual flavors. She lives in California, there are all kinds of wonderful fruits available there. I think it would make her brand more interesting, there's not much she can do with plain strawberry that isn't already being done by others.

Unless you are selling the world’s best strawberry jam, let’s face it it’ll just be another jam. People will buy it solely because of the branding or they won’t buy it because of that… Taylor Swift could probably sell strawberry jam to the masses, I’m doubtful Meghan can.
In other news, Harry & Meghan are making a faux Royal visit to Nigeria in May. Sounds like Nigeria wants to host a future Invictus games so has invited the pair to curry favour. Can’t wait to see what ill-fitting, wrinkled designer duds Meghan wears.

I did get a Bonne Maman advent calendar for my son (he is addicted) from Amazon, but it was quite small and had just the usual flavors. I will def get the other one this year, he will be thrilled!
Topic: Numbered jars of jam are just dumb. When I want something special I order from a woman in Maine who makes her own pepper jellies, they are fabulous! Not sure if I can post a link here but she sells things like Mandarin Ginger, BEAR Jam which is blueberry, elderberry, apple, and raspberry. So good with cream cheese and crackers.
