WB really needs to get their act together, because Ezra had already had some issues before they cast them. I only feel sorry for the poor cast and crew. Send that movie to HBO Max and call it a day.

I've had some difficulty separating Miller from their unsettling "We Need to Talk about Kevin" character and I guess at this point I'm just going to stop trying.

There was a piece in Variety written before they disappeared that mentioned how Miller is "under the radar" and the "character is bigger than the actor" or whatever.

I want to know what comic book movie has been promoted without any mention of the main star? Ansel Elgort was the co-lead in West Side Story and it was easy to hide him in the trailers. Armie Hammer was one part of an ensemble in Death on the Nile, so it was unnecessary for him to be in either the trailers or on promotional tours. But in Ezra Miller's case, they are The Flash.

Hopefully Ezra Miller is arrested, convicted and receives prison time for his crimes. I would hope for WB losing a ton of money if that didn't mean a lot of people would lose their jobs.

If you ask me, maybe that makes them the ultimate method actor and that they became what they’ve played in that movie? Seriously, I am really worried about their well-being and the dangers they present to other people. I also will have to push back on the comments that this is going to hurt nonbinary actors, because it almost always the case that when someone from a marginalized group does something bad, the entire group gets blamed. Whereas if Tom Hanks yells the F word, no one is talking about how white cis-het male actors are going to all be like this. I will admit that this is not a perfect comparison, because the severity of Miller’s crimes are much more severe than Hanks losing his temper. The point is, when those who are in power screw up, few blame the entire group. When someone from a marginalized community does, the entire group gets backlash. Considering how much the LGBTQ communities are dealing with right now the United States, let’s not make Ezra Miller Exhibit A as one nonbinary apple spoiling the whole barrel.

Tom Hanks has also been a public figure for 30+ years who's long had an image as a genuinely nice guy, so yelling at someone on the street even if it is justified (and I think it was) is so counter to his "brand" that it gets attention but doesn't totally destroy his reputation given the context of the incident. Miller has been in the public eye at a much lower profile for a shorter period and honestly has had sketchy stories of bizarre or dangerous behavior swirling around them for years before coming out as non-binary.

I know, that’s why I said that Hanks probably wasn’t a perfect comparison to Miller. However, I find it ironic that the first time I saw Miller in a movie, it was We Need To Talk About Kevin.

Ooof, there’s no way The Flash can be released in theaters. As someone else mentioned, put it on HBO Max and write it off.

I don’t think it’s even worth putting on HBO Max, due to its premium cable reputation it’s had for decades. I wouldn’t be surprised if the movie went to Tubi!
