Friends, I can't, I'm bored. Even with the thing and other thing that happened last night. I don't care about any of these people. This is essentially Medieval Succession and I don't care about those folks either.

I am not bored but I walked away from last night's episode feeling depressed. I think I was made of sturdier stock when GoT was out. These days, I need something that isn't so grim. Although I have to ask, what did Rhaenyra think would happen when she had three kids that looked absolutely nothing like her husband?
I have to say though, I really enjoy watching Paddy Cossentine. I can see why he was the reason Matt Smith joined the cast. He just wants peace and quiet to play with his mini castle. I think we can all identify with that.

I mean, I thought that was part of what Rhaenyra meant in the last episode when she proposed their arrangement. Him blurting out the name of the third kid as his ex was a choice! I have to say though, I really enjoy watching Paddy Cossentine. To lighten the mood (narrator: this won't happen), they should have Viseryas show up next week missing a leg. The following week, an ear. And so on, and so on.

Him blurting out the name of the third kid as his ex was a choice! According to the latest episode they did try. I really love the way Laenor's story wrapped up. While it was a bit self-serving for Rhaenyra, I thought he would be so much happier. I'm really enjoying this show. I like how they are covering a lot of ground and time in this one season.

Yeah, I appreciated that Daemon/Rhaenyra conversation because it made it clear she and Laenor did at least give it a shot at producing an heir. Also really liked the Rhaenyra/Laenor scene where he was saying he wished he had been born straight and she told him he was perfect the way he was. I'm really glad for that last scene where he saw he got away to live the life he truly wanted.

I have to say though, I really enjoy watching Paddy Cossentine. I can see why he was the reason Matt Smith joined the cast. He just wants peace and quiet to play with his mini castle. I think we can all identify with that. I have really loved Viserys/Paddy, he really was great in this role. I don't think I've ever seen him in anything else, but he was truly fun to watch. Apparently, he and Matt have become (were?) great friends. This last episode with Viserys and his ailments, just wow. I think I was cringing the entire time Viserys was on the screen. What the fuck condition did he have that made him so messed up? I always am [happily] surprised to hear when he's still alive. I was sorry to see the younger actresses playing Alicent/Rhaenyra (I can never spell it correct no matter how many times I try), as I am not really crazy about the older actresses, particularly Emma D'Arcy. She just does not seem as smart and cunning and well, "Targaryen," as Milly's version. Milly Alcock was amazing, and I liked Emily Carey too. I am hoping it gets better as time goes on, but Milly had much, much better chemistry with Matt Smith than Emma. I worry that Rhaenyra's first 3 kids are not long for this world, but I hope I'm wrong. Also, shouldn't they have been trained like Aemond was all these years too? They seem wimpy in comparison to the extremely intimidating Aemond (ironic considering their father). I really hope Matt gets more screen time, he is just so damn magnetic to watch, even with the ugly wig. He and Aemond are both dangerous and scary, and I look forward to seeing if they become adversaries. I'm rooting for Daemon!

Their small scene together was so good. Aemond was taunting Rhaenyra's kids with that slightly unhinged look on his face and Daemon was all, sit back down, amateur.
I couldn't watch Viserys this week, he was too decrepit - yet strangely the most badass he has been yet. I think part of the reason I like the character is that everyone is always so cutthroat ambitious on GOT, people will kill their own kin for a strategic advantage. But Viserys learned with Aemma's death that is a doomed path. He just wants his family to be happy.

The showrunner said Viserys had leprosy. I'll miss Paddy, but won't miss how they made him look more and more like the crypt keeper every week.
When I tell you I screamed when Daemon killed Vaemond--yikes! "I let him keep his tongue." DO NOT get on Daemon's bad side.
Aemond is dangerous, but rapist Aegon is a pig. Poor Haeleana stuck with a brother-husband like that.
