Anyone else interested in watching the Game of Thrones prequel airing tonight? I do want to wash my brain of the memories of the eight season (ick)!

I'm definitely waiting. I have not forgiven them for how badly they bungled the final seasons of GoT. It'll take spectacular reviews to reel me back in.

I’m waiting too to see if it is worth it, and it’s also because of how badly they effed up the final season of Game of Thrones (I don’t think I’ve ever seen a show biff the ending so badly. And they had all the money in the world to do it right…).

And just to be shallow, Matt Smith looks terrible in that blond wig.

I'll still pissed at how the (original) Dexter concluded, so that takes the gold in "how not to end a TV series" Olympics for me. GOT takes the silver. I'll give the bronze for St. Elsewhere for the Whiskey Tango Foxtrot twist.

How I Met Your Mother takes the botched ending prize. At least everything about the GOT ending made sense, it was just rushed. HIMYM's ending retroactively ruined the entire series.

I thought this was a good start. Did a decent job a bringing you back into the world and setting up the characters.

Anyone watching? I am and really liking it a lot. Last episode was crazy pants. Good to know Plan B was available back then, though. Next episode is the last with the two actresses who play the younger Alicent and Rhaenarys and I'm really going to miss then--especially Millie Alcock.

I'm liking it so far! The time jumps are a little weird, and I want more dragons. But the actors are wonderful, and based on what little I know of the history described in GOT, things are going to get really hairy!!

I’ve enjoyed every episode so far. I happily watched GoT over the years and agree with everyone’s sentiments about the way it ended, but I’m not that hardcore a fan (never read the books). HoTD might make me take the plunge and start reading because I find the characters fascinating. Also, the casual/normalized incest in the Targaryen family is both shocking and…titillating? That scene with Rhaenyra and Daemon was kinda hot.

(I can’t believe I just wrote that, lol. Ew.)
