I’m feeling really sad and affected about Little Lucerys. And little dragon. That really was a wrenching image of seeing then dwarfed by Vhagar but still trying to be brave.
A version of the fire lit from beneath stone map of 7 kingdoms would have been so much more effecting and appropriate in the opening credits rather than the blood soaked streets. Which just makes me think how stenchy the clean up would be. I can’t believe they had someone to make an effecting image like that but decided nah we’ll go for blood to depict the blood side of the Targaryens instead of fire. It’s not like they’re you know KNOWN and defined by the latter or anything.

I was holding my breath during that dragon scene. Poor Arrax and Lucerys. Rhaenyra looks absolutely ready to burn the Greens down, literally. I really enjoyed this series and can't wait until season two. I bought Fire and Blood because I can't wait until then!

Every episode was better than the last and they brought it in the finale. I too, feel so sad for the kid and his teeny dragon.

Poor Luke and Arrax! Viserys did say in the first episode that it was an illusion that they controlled the dragons. I hope Aemond trying to scare Luke was worth the war he just started. Rhaenyra's face in that last shot said it all: no more fucking trying to keep the peace. It's bloodbath time.

SPOILER . . . . I'm up to ep 5 with this one, and I'm enjoying it. I got a question though. Why the hell was Ser Christon allowed to walk away after murdering Laerus's lover at the wedding feast? Why didn't anyone stop him?

I think 1) because the victim wasn’t someone they would have wanted to draw attention to, so I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t have been cool with a sweeping under rug job, bar Laenor who is on the ineffectual side. 2) the Queen basically took him on as her right hand personal champion straight after, so that gave him a fair amount of immunity.

That, to me, was just bad writing. I would have Ser Christon being thrown in the dungeon, then being approached by Alicent and getting a reprieve.
I couldn't understand the two being married immediately after that like it was some kind of emergency.
