Still won't work. When I hit return after putting in the url, it takes me back to the main "modify profile" page. Le sigh. I think I am slow. Your problem happens to me every time I tried to change my avatar. I finally gave up and had to beg various Mods to take pity on me and input the avatar link on my profile for me. A long time ago, Moldy said she thought that AOL users had particular problems with avatars and a few other board functions. I have AOL but I access the board via IE. Doesn't seem to make a difference. I've done everything that other people have suggested to you and I still can't do my avatar. I don't know if it will make you feel better, but you're not alone.

I know, it's shameful, isn't it? I never use it anymore, except for email, but I can't seem to give it up. BTW, your avatar freaks me out, Topher. It's like something out of Gremlins.

Would it be okay to start a movie thread for scary, creepy films? I checked and there isn't a thread like that yet. There are a number of threads for broad film categories like "Movies you love," the Historical movie thread, funniest movie ever, best dance movies, etc. so it wouldn't be out of the norm.

Is there a board-wide problem with the time, or is it just me? The little clock thingy at the top of the page says 6:58 a.m., but it's 7:58. I could swear it was accurate until last night, and there was a post in the Pet Peeves thread marked 8:00 when the clock thingy said 7:53, which supports my theory that there is something weird going on. And the time in my profile settings is still set to PST.

No, I know -- that's why it's weird. I could have sworn it was accurate and had adjusted yesterday, but now it's two hours back from where it was before daylight savings time ended. It's like it went too far back for some reason. I'll just set it to mountain time, I guess.
But there is a post in the pet peeves thread dated 9:00 (for me on mountain time) and followed by a post at 8:59, and one in the pregnancy thread dated 8:47 and followed by a post at 8:09. So something weird is going on somewhere.
