After the brilliance that was last night's South Park episode, I figured the boys deserved a thread of their own. FINALLY, someone brave enough to expose these idiots to the general public. You guys should check out the IMDB boards, and the official site. They're both flooded with people either asking if that's really what $cientology believes, or that the show inspired them to do a little bit of research, and they now realize what a sham it is. I'm loving it.
So, do you think the clams will go after them? Personally, I don't think they'll sue, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they start harassing them over the next few days.

I met them backstage at a Duran Duran concert, and they are just the nicest, coolest, sweetest guys! Matt's shy, but Trey is adorable.

I LOVE these guys. Funniest show on TV. I love their irreverent and bizzaro humor.
And they don't seem to give a shit what anybody thinks, no matter how powerful or famous they are, if they want to go after them, they do.
And they like Duran Duran? As a Duranie, I like them even more now.

And they don't seem to give a shit what anybody thinks, no matter how powerful or famous they are, if they want to go after them, they do. Point in case: That year at the Oscars where they wore man-sized versions of dresses worn by Jennifer Lopez (that green thing cut down to her naval) and Gwyneth Paltrow (that pink thing that looked like it was going to slide right off her skimpy chest).

I knew Trey was a big Duran Duran fan, but I didn't know Matt was too (or maybe he was just tagging along).
I completely agree on their Scientology episode. Someone in the media FINALLY called them for that they really are - a scam. And it is perfect that Matt & Trey were the ones to do it. I really liked Stan's question of "If you're a religion, how come you charge people to help them?" I doubt the clams will sue them - what they did was far too public and going after them would just cast the clams in a really bad light. I don't doubt that they haven't gotten a million and one calls from clams who "just want to talk to them" about what they did, or clams just showing up at their studio asking to talk to them.
I am really amazed that South Park has run as long as it has. I am also amazed at the way they put the episodes together. Frequently they don't get the finished product to Comedy Central until the day before the episode airs - that's why they are so topical and why CC rarely runs episode-specific promos.

Name dropper. I met them backstage of the Mr. Mister concert. JELLUS! After all, Toph, I DO live in West Hollywood. I should be expected to drop names... in between trips to the gym, the spa, and the doggy bakery. *head toss* p.s. It figures you listen to Mr. Mister. What next? Huey Lewis?
