They can be pretty trenchant on SP, but usually the humor is in the class of a little kid saying 'shi.t' 'dam.n' and 'f.uck.' And dying a bloody death. At least what I've seen of it.

(I also hate that construction paper cut-out animation... but that's another story.)

They would seem cooler to me if they didn't complain constantly about how poorly Orgasmo did.

I will say that after I saw Baseketball I had a huge crush on Trey Parker that is still ongoing. Matt looks much better without the pubefro.

I like how they still know how to stick up to people who deserve it on South Park. Where as shows like The Simpsons have gotten a bit stale with age, South Park seems to get better and better. Maybe it is because they will say/do things that other shows (except maybe Family Guy)won't/ can't do.

Also as it has been said in the South Park thread, the repeat of "In the Closet" (Bestest SP EVAH *Hearts and puppies*) is on tonite at 10pm,9 central time.

The Duran Duran thing....Swoon.

I think their main problem with the whole Orgazmo situation is that they were slapped with an NC-17 rating that they felt was unfair. Having seen the movie, I would agree with them.

The only nudity is hairy male butts (with one, like, half-second flash of a lady's ta-tas before the said hairy male butt stepped in front of the camera), and all sex scenes are cartoonishly fake (with people still wearing all their clothes). I don't know if it was the all the sex toys Orgamzo's sidekick had as part of his costume, but it really felt like it should have been rated R.

That battle with the ratings board continued with the South Park movie and Team America. On the South Park movie, every time the ratings board sent it back telling them to remove something sex-related or swear words, they would do it, but they would also up with violence to see if they noticed. They never got any complaints about the violence, just the sex and bad words stuff.

I've always thought "South Park" is funny, but the more political the show got, the less I liked it. Every political message was pretty much the same--nothing is serious, nothing matters, no matter what side of an issue you're on, caring is boring so we should all just sit back and make jokes. At times they could be really funny with that, but I thought it could get stale really easily

But coming across these[/color] photos[/color] of Matt hobnobbing with the Kwanderful Kween of the Ice, Miss Michelle Kwan, at a Laker game has restored my faith and made me think he's infinitely awesome.

I love these two. We're a bit behind on new SP episodes here, but they're no less funny for being late.

Baseketball is one of my favourite movies. It's so stupid, but it's guaranteed to give me a laugh. Like someone on the board said about Super Troopers once, it's basically an excuse for a group of guys to act like idiots. But it's funny, so it's ok.
