LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have signed a three-year production deal with Paramount Pictures, which released their most recent film, the 2004 puppet comedy "Team America: World Police."

The acerbic pair, best known for mocking pop culture icons, will need extra large business cards because they named their new banner Trunity, a Mediar company, a division of True Mediar, a Unity Corpbopoly.

The new deal could make for some interesting encounters at the Paramount commissary, since Parker and Stone haven't been shy about lampooning the Hollywood establishment, including fellow Paramount producer/star Tom Cruise, who was the target of ribbing on Wednesday's episode of "South Park."

Parker and Stone recently pacted with Comedy Central to produce "South Park" through 2008. The pair will continue to write, direct, edit and lend their voices to the series, which is the network's highest-rated show. Seasons 1 through 6 have sold a total of more than 3.5 million DVDs.

I guess Tom and Co$ hold no sway over Paramount. And yeah! more seasons of South Park.

There hasn't been any official announcement so take it with a grain of salt, but according to this website, Trey got married on the 24th.

Paramount isn't a bunch of dummies—Trey and Matt are more relevant and (sanely) entertaining than post-couch-jumping, post-Matt-Lauer-'you-don't-know-the-history-of-psychiatry, I-do" CTC. Good for them!

And yay! More South Park! (Though, I think this season–save for the CTC episode—was pretty weak.)

Didn't Paramount agree to never broadcast the South Park "Tom is in the closet" episode again, though?

I hadn't heard about that one not being broadcast again - I think it is the "Virgin Mary" one that they said they wouldn't air again.

I think the "Come out of the closet, Tom" episode won't be broadcast in the U.K. (On television, of course. It's got to be available somewhere on the net.)
