Don't know if this comment about the episode being pulled Wends. night was already posted yet, if so it bears repeating:
Trey Parker and Matt Stone, creators of the crudely animated cartoon hit, issued a quirky statement, filled with references to Scientology and the science-fiction writings of church founder L. Ron Hubbard, suggesting Scientology was behind the scheduling change. “So, Scientology, you have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for Earth has just begun,” the pair wrote. “Temporarily anozinizing our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies. Curses and drat! You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail! Hail Xenu!!!”

I've never seen a full episode of South Park. Some parts were clever and others were things I would have laughed at when I was 12. Now that I'm 30, not so much. At any rate, I love the fact that this "contreversy" is going on right now. I think these two can be pretty childish, but they are really amusing me with this one. Mostly because they are right. Isaac Hayes can make fun of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, etc, etc, but once the show aims at Scientology? Not funny anymore. Don't be on a show that (I assume) makes fun of EVERYTHING!!!

I was on the fence about these two before. There are episodes of South Park that I like and others that I'm like meh. I thought Team America was hilarious thought, that stupid prolonged sex scene notwithstanding. ;D Anyway, I loved how they're standing up at a time where a lot of people are fed up with Clamos but not too many have the balls to say anything. I won't marry either though, so fight away girls.

I love these guys. And you have to respect them for calling the $cienos on their crap. (I believe everyone gets to believe/worship/follow whatever they want... but you don't get to force it on the rest of us.) I love that their statement was peppered with made-up terms, a la LRon's writings. And, now that they've declared war, I cannot wait to see what's coming up on SP.
Yes, I'm a SP fan. Yes, I'm an educated adult. And, after all this, if I didn't already own the dvds, I'd run out and buy them just to show my support.
It's well known (because they've said it over and over) that they often finish a show the day before it airs. The new season starts either next week or the week after. Can you imagine what's coming??
And, slightly OT, but yeah... Xenu is not worshipped by the $cienos. According to them, he's the bad guy. So, Team Xenu for me! ;D

I'm an educated adult myself and largely meh on South Park. Due to funky TiVo timing, TiVo snatches one SP episode a week (because Daily Show's not on Friday) and I generally watch it and ... there's some good stuff, but a lot of it just doesn't do it for me. But that's fine, there's an audience.
However, I am TOTALLY going to buy the season... what is it? 9? DVDs to support them for the clam-smackdown. That was the best press release EVER.

Bumping to say that after watching last night's South Park episode I actually feel sorry for them. They seem genuinely hurt by what happened.

Yep. I hope Isaac hears the part about "Don't blame Chef-blame the fruity little club."
I think Isaac didn't even get into the cult because he wanted to check out Dianetics-he was an addict who was roped into Narconon. That's sad.
