Frances has definitely had work done. I noticed her nose job awhile ago. I'm not surprised she did her lips either because her top lip was practically nonexistent before.

Courtney won her Twitter case. Wasn't expecting that. I thought her excuse of being computer illiterate was ridiculous. I was a big Hole fan as a teen, and she's been a big participant on AOL, then messageboards, for ages now.

Recently I picked up Live Through This at a thrift shop. I've heard so much praise about the album and wanted to listen to it, but paying full price for it seemed like too much. My impression of the album is "meh." I know that Hole and those grunge bands from the early 90s are special for a lot of people so maybe it's just a case of "you had to be there." The same four chords played over and over again, some asinine lyrics - but I will say that Courtney's wail is pretty epic. I was pretty young when Kurt Cobain killed himself and I have a cassette tape (!!) of In Utero somewhere. I do remember seeing the videos for "Violet" and "Doll Parts" back when MuchMusic was a thing and I would watch it when my parents weren't looking ("You listen to the devil's music!" - a real thing my dad used to say). I'll try to find Celebrity Skin next - I really liked the singles from that album, they were so much more melodic. IIRC, that album came out when Courtney was at her peak.

But...but...Live Through This was ALL written by Cobain!

LOL! I've heard that before, too. Maybe Kurt only had a hand in writing the good songs. He was a better musician than Courtney.

Courtney was on the Linda Perry Project (12:12) and appeared to be pretty straight and sober, and sane even. I don't know what's been going on with her, but for the moment anyway, she seems to be doing well.

Courtney has been sober for awhile now. She's talking to Eric Erlandson and her daughter again, and she and Dave Grohl have buried the hatchet. I don't think any of that would have happened if she was still on crack and not taking prescribed psychotropic drugs.

I didn't know she was talking to her daughter again. That's really something. If it wasn't for the plastic surgery remnants on her face she'd be looking pretty good now too. She still looks good, though, all things considered (and by all things, I mean living her life like a freakin loon for the last two decades).

OMG I feel old. Can't tell you how many CDs of classics like "A Pocketfull of Kryptonite" and "I am an Elastic Firecracker" I've seen at Value Village (a chain of thrift stores here.) I can't help wondering about the previous owners, where they are now, and how their musical tastes have changed, and if they are comfortable treating music as strictly a downloadable, which I am not. Back to Courtney, if she's cleaned up, good for her. I can also hope she got over her ridiculous couture and famewhore obsessions.

She'll be relatively sane and sober for a short while and then the inner batshit crazy will re-emerge. This has happened before with Courtney and will happen again.
