Me too, Wol. That was very nicely said.

Count me in as one of the Busom Buddies fans. I remember her in Bachelor Party and Designing Women. She was the asst. to the sketchy photographer who tried to get them to pose in their scanties for a spread. One of my favorite eps.

Aw man, she was great. I loved her in 1941, when she played the zany girl, and I can always hear her wailing "Strreeeeeeetch!" as she slides across the floor to grab onto Treat Williams' leg at the USO dance.

Thanks, everyone. I wish I had known her better and could be more eloquent. The few times I saw her around I always wanted to approach her and tell her how much I admired the work she was doing, but it never seemed appropriate. Now I'll never get the opportunity. But that's more about me. She knew how many people she had reached.

I hope the mods won't mind if I shamelessly promote her organization and their website. I'm poor as a church mouse and embarrassed at how little I can afford to give, but if many people give a little it can add up to a lot, so I'm breaking out the check book. Pretty lame that it took her passing to get me to do that, right? I'm also thinking I'll go by their offices tonight and maybe leave some flowers or something. If I do, I'll tell them how many fans Wendie Jo has in cyberspace

She was one of those, to paraphrase The Other Site, "Hey! It's That Girl!" that automatically makes a movie / show funnier. She was hysterical as the proctologist in Bachelor Party.

I, too, was thinking of her just a few weeks ago, wondering what ever happened to.... I wish there was a better answer than this one. She will be missed.

It started out that way but turned into them going on dates, having fun, and playing off one another with the weight being a non-issue. Once that happened, the show got canceled.
