A wake-up call about cholesterol, weight, and hard living. Poor fellow.

That's a mean lesson... You're first supposed to get the mild heart attack, the "wake up call" that scares you into eating right, stop smoking and exercise. You're not supposed to just seize up like that horse in Animal House.

Oh, Nan. You invoked the seizing-up horse in Animal House! You're fabulous. You think Chris Penn would have enjoyed being likened to that horse? Maybe. It made ME smile!

I had a friend who was in love with Sean Penn (yeah I know, I don't get it either, but she was young and stupid) -- you are right. The Sheens and the Penns (the Lowes may have been around too) grew up together and always hung out. There parents were friends too. It makes sense that Martin Sheen (and possibly his wife) would be called by the Penn's mom and would go immediately to her to help out. All the boys used to hang out and make "movies" with the home camera.
I cannot believe I remember this. I can't remember what I wore yesterday, but I can remeber details about the Penns and Sheens.
Rest In Peace Chris.

Very sad, especially since he had that new movie coming out. His poor family. I can't imagine losing my brother at an age when we are supposed to be in the prime of our lives.

When I heard that "Sean Penn's actor brother" died, I got curious and Googled him thinking, the result would be some obscure actor I've never seen. Turn's out I've seen him in so many movies, but never really knew who he was. (Totally Hey, It's that guy moment for me) Dying of natural causes in your 40's is just frightening.

He acted in more than his share of comedies, I have to think he had a sense of humor. Maybe he had all the sense of humor in the family, seeing as how his brother has none.

Doesn't Sarah Jessica Parker credit him as her virginity-taker?
