I searched and searched and couldn't find a thread on her. I hope I didn't miss it.
Amanda has been cast as the lead female on Aaron Sorkin's new Fall TV show opposite Matthew Perry called Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. This leads to my question, why is she still working in Hollywood? How many strikes does she get before they kick her out? She already has a failed TV show on her resume and has only managed to play a major role in 2 profitable films:
A Lot Like Love made $42mm WW vs. $30mm budget
Whole Nine Yards made $106mm vs. $64mm budget
She's never shown any acting ability and has horrid comedy timing, plus I find her scary looking. So, why does she keep getting cast in projects?

I think she's good at comedy too, but other than that she's meh. I saw her in Syriana and she wasn't that bad. Much better than Matt Damon which I found surprising.
Anyway, it looks like her return to TV Land may be the kiss of death to her movie career and I can see this one going the way of Heather Graham.

I thought she gave a pretty decent performance as a dancer/junkie in Igby Goes Down but I've stayed far far away from her TV and other 'comedic' movies she's starred in, because just from the ads they look awful.

I admit that I liked Jack and Jill, too.
She's got stunning eyes. I passed her on the street one day and was amazed at how piercing a color they are.

She was strikingly beautiful before she starved herself down to nothing. Such a shame. I still think she's a decent actress though, I liked her in Igby Goes Down and some of her earlier stuff.

I've always thought she was beautiful. The teeth and brows give her character, IMO. Hers was the only part I found interesting in Changing Lanes, and she was good enough in Something's Gotta Give. I'd watch the new show.
