It surprises me too but it sounds like she is self-medicating, which makes it less surprising. In interviews, she always seemed very "together" but, of course, that doesn't mean anything. There are many people who fall into the category of the "smiling depressed."

From what I've seen on reruns of Cops, they'd both be arrested, so I won't blame Jack. Besides, if she's drinking and he's sober, any conversation is likely to get out of control. And maybe he was trying to keep her from driving.

If he had to tackle her to keep her from driving then, "Go Jack!"

I've had to get rough with people to keep them from driving and threaten to call 911 and have them arrested which would get them fired before, "Oh I shouldn't drive," finally sank in because drunks aren't always as cooperative as I am. I get all huggy and agreeable but I have friends who turn into asses.

I heard a preview of E! News earlier this evening and they mentioned something about the Court wanting to see both Heather and Jack. Did anyone catch the story or hear any other details about this?

If I heard correctly the L.A. prosecutor wants to talk to them about a physical altercation they supposedly had so they can decide if charges need to be filed.

E! also claimed Richie Sambora is back with Denise Richards and that's apparently also helped send Heather off her rocker. Their daughter is also living with Richie right now because he's more stable than Heather.

Oh ouch. That poor kid. Richie has been to rehab recently, hasn't he? I saw Denise the other day, and her face looked - off. She's done some fiddling.

Back on topic - the story is that Heather attacked Jack physically, and he came back at her. She grabbed his dog, and drove away. But she obviously came right back, because the cops were called and they were both there.

They don't expect any charges. Who knows what happened. If he defended himself, then good for him. But I wonder if there was a way to just be the smart one and leave, or call the cops on her. Don't hit back. But maybe that's how their relationship is. For as nice as Heather seems, you don't live through a Tommy Lee marriage without toughening up a lot, I would guess.

She's been arrested for domestic violence and battery on a cop:

Heather Locklear was arrested Sunday night for felony domestic violence and battery on a cop.

The incident occurred Sunday night. Deputies responded to a home in Thousand Oaks, CA ... someone reported domestic violence.

During the arrest she allegedly became combative and attacked a cop. As a result, she was also arrested on 3 counts of misdemeanor battery on an officer.

According to the 911 call, Heather's brother came to her home and saw Heather and her boyfriend fighting. The brother called 911. We're told cops observed that the boyfriend had a visible mark.

Law enforcement sources tell us when cops tried putting Heather in custody she became combative, flailing, kicking and struck 3 deputies. Heather was cuffed and taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The 56-year-old has had troubles in the past with substance abuse ... she has been arrested for DUI and had issues with prescription drugs.

Heather has had domestic violence issues in the past. In 2011, the LAPD was dispatched to Jack Wagner's home -- her then-boyfriend -- after the 2 allegedly got physical with each other during a heated argument. At the time a law enforcement source told us, "She lost it on him and he retaliated." Neither wanted to press charges against the other.

Cops aren't saying who she allegedly attacked in the home.

Locklear is in the process of posting bail.
