Other than the Ally Sheedy stuff, I haven't really read much about him. I'm not much of a Bon Jovi fan though. I've heard absolutely nothing bad about her. Heather Locklear sounds like one of the hardest working, most responsible actresses in Hollywood (this side of Reese Witherspoon). She's not like Eminem's ex and now current wife Kim. That is, she doesn't have a reputation for dramatics.

Last year I read The Dirt (Motley Crue book). Tommy Lee said that Heather wasn't into children, didn't seem to like them, and didn't want to have any. According to Tommy, this was the reason their relationship fell apart - because family is so important to him. Actually I was thinking their relationship hit the wall because of the 5,000 groupies he had sex with, but what do I know?

I've always liked Heather, but don't know much about the husband. My opinion is something has been brewing for a while simply because Heather strikes me as someone who would try to keep the family together. I agree with "two-sides" but I'm doubtful about the blindsiding.

I've actually always liked her. In interviews, she seemed able to poke fun at herself and she always struck me as intelligent, not just a bimbo.

The stories are saying they split up because they disagreed about having more kids. I guess he wants more and she doesn't, but jeez, the woman is 44. There may not even be much of a choice involved anymore.
Me too. I was very impressed with her interviews for her E! True Hollywood Story. She told this story about her and Tommy Lee living in this huge mansion and it was totally empty except for a bunch of guitars (for him) and a tanning bed (for her) in the living room because that's all they were interested in. That should make me hate her and think she's totally stupid and shallow, but the way she told it made it sound so endearing. She always comes across as charmingly candid.

So another celebrity marriage bites the dust. I am just thinking of an Oprah interview awhile back when "Melrose Place" was still on. Heather went into all this detail about how happy she was with her hubby and how he wrote these love letters to her and she kept them in a nice little box. It was all so sweet and touching. Heather also went on about how the first time that she and Richie went on a date, she didn't stay the night at his place. And Oprah was all like, "Good for you!" As if this was some big feat that Heather had managed to accomplish that no one else in the history of mankind ever had. To me, her good looks/sex appeal is what has kept her in the limelight. Oh and let's not forget "Preference Fade-Resistant by L'oreal." I guess I'm in the minority on this board because I've never really been impressed with Heather or her acting ability. In that same interview with Oprah, the clip that stands out in my mind that was shown was when she starts making out with some character on a desk. Nothing to show the audience what talent - if any - that she actually had. IMO, there were other talented actresses on "Melrose", that never got enough attention like she did and it bugs me that Aaron Spelling considers her the "savior" of the show. Anyway to get back on point, I just wish these celebrity couples would be a little less candid in interviews because then when things go sour, they end up looking ridiculous.

I always figured, that despite her cutesy looks, she must be a pretty tough broad. Not only did she manage to stay with Tommy Lee for 8 years, but she lasted 11 in this one - another rock marriage. So I can totally see her springing the divorce on him if she got a whiff of something he was up to.

I've never been impressed with her talent either, just her work ethic. I think she was doing TJ Hooker and Dynasty at the same time. That couldn't have been easy. Plus I've always heard she's very professional. But I've never thought of her as particularly talented or interesting as a performer.

I must be a freak but I've never thought she was pretty. She has the ingredients for pretty but they come out looking too fake and plasticy or something. Her hair also always bugs the crap out of me. I don't know why but she always just leaves me cold so I never quite get it when men are all like "Wowee! Heather Locklear!" Bleh. Just bleh. Remember that movie from the early 1980s, Weird Science, where two high school boys make up their fantasy woman? To me, Heather seems like she's all those high school fantasy bits put together - big (fake) boobs, tanned, blue eyes, blonde hair, teeny tiny - but the package doesn't quite work. That said, I've always thought she comes across fairly well in interviews. I also like the fact that she's accepted her acting lot in life and doesn't whine about wanting to produce serious art or dram-ah. As for blindsiding Richie? I wonder if she did actually tell him but he didn't listen. Kind of like when I tell Mr Y. to load the dishwasher and he nods his head and agrees but nothing computes. Maybe she's threatened divorce before and so all he heard was a "threat" when she was really telling him what was going to happen. Who knows?
