While the mugshot is completely heartbreaking, I don't think she looks that bad aesthetically speaking. She is a 56 year old woman with no makeup on who was just arrested and is completely wasted out of her mind. She needs to surrender to alcoholism. This is a battle that can't be won. If she can turn it around, she will still be a stunningly beautiful woman. The faces of meth people experience destruction of tissue and blood vessels, tooth decay and loss, acne riddled faces, etc. Their destroyed good looks are going to be much more of an uphill battle if they are able to overcome their devastating addiction.

Whatever. I was actually defending her and stating she doesn't look that "terrible" in her mugshot. My statement was meant to be positive and to point out that she is not a hopeless case and she can turn this around and be the person she was before she succumbed to alcoholism.

I was thinking of her when I recently started to watch the Dynasty reboot and I remembered how she starred in Melrose Place with Grant Show (who is one of the Dynasty leads now). She was great on both shows.

I always heard that, despite her characters' reputations on their shows, she was in the rare "Tom Hanks" category of "Actual Nice People in Hollywood".

I think the conversation on looks maybe has to do with the possibility of her making a comeback to acting if she ever gets herself back together. I agree that when I saw the mugshots, although she looks very sad, she still looks good and recognizably "Heather Locklear". She could easily be a mom on a CW show or whatevs, these days.

I hate that she's going through this. She was a TV heavy hitter in the '80s and lived the '80s dream for sure.

I thought the conversation on looks was because someone said she looked like a faces of meth mugshot, and someone else said she didn't look that bad, because the meth mugshots are awful. Like faces caving in awful. She looked sad in hers, but she didn't look ravaged by drugs. I don't think anyone was just generally discussing her looks. But I will! She looks pretty good in her mugshot. But extremely sad. I felt like she was thinking, what have I done? what is my life? in it. She could easily return to acting if she got herself together. I hope she does - get herself together, that is. I was never a huge fan but I liked her. It's sad to see this playing out in the tabloids. I hope she gets the help she needs.

Heather has checked into a facility for long-term treatment. I hope she'll be able to get more intensive help than she's had in the past.

I feel bad for her daughter but good that Ava has her dad and family to support her and her mother.
