He's getting divorced:

Former Friends star Matt LeBlanc is filing for divorce later today from Melissa, his wife of three years. The National Enquirer has learned exclusively that the couple split up in January, soon after LeBlanc's NBC sitcom Joey was cancelled

So much hate! I can't stand this guy. I can't believe he got his own show playing Joey again. Wow, you're really talented, Matt, I admire how you've been able to do the exact same schtick for 150 years. And I never want to hear "How YOU doin'?" again, ever.

As for the marriage, well, that certainly didn't last long, but with all the gay rumors about him I can't say I'm surprised.

I feel bad-not for the adults involved, but the children. I believe his wife had a daughter from a previous relationship/marriage, and I think they have a baby/toddler. This is why I am an advocate of waiting a few years to see if the marriage works and then bring a kid into it.

I am surprised, I admit it. They have been together forever and seemed to be a good match. I wonder if all of the pressure from Joey going down the tubes finally got to them.

Matt and his wife have a little girl called Marina who, I believe, was born with some kind of developmental disability. Poor little thing. His wife also had two sons from a previous marriage - and I'm pretty sure that Matt and Melissa didn't rush into getting married. They were together for, like, four or five years before they got married - and the latter was offered up as "proof" on the Ye Olde Site of his homosexuality. Evidently if you are cautious and wait to get married it's 'cos you're really gay!

Sometime in the last several months I read an article where Matt L. talked about going to strip club --apparently some pictures came out. He apologized to his wife and family for going and admitted his stupidity. (Pre-empting a media 'scandal', smart PR people.) I wouldn't be surprised if that is the reason why he is divorcing. His tone in the article was that of a severly chastised man.

I would hope that going to a strip club wouldn't mean an automatic divorce, if so, I've been a very tolerant wife then! ;D

I would think the strain of losing one's job and having a disabled child might be a more likely scenario. Those are huge factors.

Actually, according to one of my H-wood peeps (she writes a gossip column for a major mag), that story was really to cover up something else - most likely his gay escapades or a boyfriend. LeBlanc agreed to give them an interview on his "stripper gate" situation so they wouldn't go on record with something more damning.

And THAT's probably a good enough reason to get divorced!
