With all due respect, I think that's a bit of a dishonest interpretation. I'd be very surprised if anyone on this board actually thinks being murdered is cool, it was more likely a comment about the indirect association. I think it's implicitly obvious (or should be) that the phrase 'sort of cool' in the context above can be interpreted as something along the lines of 'it's an interesting and unique association to have inhabited a residence prior to such a traumatic and eminently infamous event that, over three and a half decades later, is still greatly recalled and the subject of much discourse'.
And quite frankly, if the ghost of Ms Tate is offended by the comment, then that's what she gets for climbing out of her coffin and reading a celebrity board.

I'm being facetious, of course, but I really don't think it's anything major to get our collective knickers in a knot over.

ITA. While I'm not speaking for the poster, I think she/he was merely saying being associated with such an infamous murder is kinda cool. Personally I wouldn't want to be associated with anything Manson, but YMMV.

I think she was so beautiful back in the day. Truly exquisite and rivaling Grace Kelly. I was sorry to read that she was so insecure. But her father supposedly paid more attention to Charlie than Candice when she was growing up. Under those circumstances it's a wonder she doesn't have major psychological problems.

I posted this a while ago in the Celebrity Sightings thread... It was weird!

I have the strangest sightings..
About a month ago, I was at an event and Candace Bergen was there as well.
Anyway, after one of the presentations, we all gathered out on the patio where they were serving horderves (sp?) and such but they also had a basket of little cakes.... i.e. coffee cake and little muffins.
I kid you not, I was standing next to CB when she proceeded to remove all the tops of the coffee cakes and she just. ate. the. tops.
She didn't take them out of the basket, eat the top and throw them away, no... she just tore off all the tops and left the little naked coffee cakes still in the basket for the next person to eat.

All in all, I would say she ate close to dozen tops... come on! That's the best part!!

Candice is one of my favorite actors. Love her, and love Murphy. She was even beautiful as a little girl (see Knock Wood for pictures). I'm really glad she is from her generation and not this new one, her quirky little nose wouldn't have survived.
