I think it's very possible that Ireland, not Kim, got this to TMZ; on the Today Show this morning, they had a guy from TMZ on and he said that, although he wasn't goinig to identify the source, "We have reason to believe that Ireland was just fine with this ending up on TMZ.com." And, regardless of what Alec's been through with Kim, that kid is 11 years old and that message sounded, to me, like his plan for today (4/20) was to go to LA and beat the crap out of her. Her, not Kim. Because she didn't answer the phone. I don't know, that just seems excessive to me, even if this wasn't the first time she'd ducked his calls. I hope that if visitation is restored, it's supervised until IRELAND says she's okay with being alone with him. Not Alec, not Kim, not a judge; only she should decide what her comfort level is.

She needs a guardian ad litem like Dannielynn had, or at least a court appointed advocate.

I've been able to more or less dismiss all of his rant except "pig." I know everyone gets frustrated, we all act out, parents aren't angels, and we say things we regret. But all day I keep landing on "He called his preteen daughter a pig." Can't get past that one. It's harsh.

I agree. Fortunately, I wasn't raised by my mentally ill mom, but she still tries to pull the verbal abuse when things don't go her way. It's a selfish and petty "Waahh, you don't love me, pay attention to me, you owe me" reaction. I can see someone maybe going off on a child if s/he genuinely misbehaves, but this is all about Alec's emotional needs and her failing to prop up his fragile self-image as a "good dad". I hate to be all oh those crazy actors, but I bet that Alec is used to a lot of fan adoration, and maybe he doesn't really know what it is to give and take with real people- shades of Mommy Dearest. If you truly know that you're a good parent, you're probably secure enough in that role not to lash out in this abusive manner and you know that your kid loves you, even if the relationship might be having issues at that particular moment.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think he's a very good actor and I've never liked him and never understood why people find him so great. Just to talk about something else than the voicemail. He doesn't seem like anything more than a talking meat-head to me. There isn't a single Alec Baldwin performance I can recall that I've enjoyed. His SNL skits were all pretty painful too.

.
Excellent points satellite. It's consistent with my impression that Alec sounded more like a hurt and angry rejected boyfriend than a pissed off, out of control dad. His rage REALLY had to do with how the kid's actions made him feel about himself. To me he sounds wildly immature and childish. Big fucking' baby.

Part of his latest statement ...
"Once my book is published, I'm sure more people will understand the incredible strains created by parental alienation."
Oh, yippee.

Does anyone know what Ireland looks like? With such a pretty mom and interesting dad, I'm curious. Here are some pics of Alec with Ireland. She's a very pretty girl. Part of his latest statement ... "Once my book is published, I'm sure more people will understand the incredible strains created by parental alienation." Oh, yippee. Oh my God. Well, I hope no one buys your book, asshole.
