Alec isn't my favorite person. We all know he and his wife are incredibly problematic. I do not believe for one instant that he intended to kill Halyna. It must be incredibly traumatic to have been the accidental cause of a friend or co-workers death. None of us would handle it well. I wish people would show him just a little grace. Whether or not anyone thinks he deserves it is not for us to judge, as Tolkein wrote, "Even the very wise cannot see all ends". He is honoring Halyna in word. We might find his methods tacky, but let's not call him out for his grief. We all know what one year ago was. What more can he say? That he's sorry. Not good enough. What can he do? Give all his money to Halyna's family? It wouldn't bring her back? Give up his way of life? So his children should be punished for his carelessness. I suppose it would be nice if he took his wife and children off to live a quiet life in Montana or Wyoming, but again that doesn't bring back Halyna. I just think a modicum of kindness just the small drop he deserves needs to be considered. Yeah, it only goes so far, but still we are adults who know better. He has been a misogynistic, arrogant and pompous dick for years now. He goes out of his way to MOCK others and tried to turn this woman's death into his redemption arc. He has a long track record of not showing ANY kindness or grace at all. The only thing Alex Baldwin cares about is Alex Baldwin. Didn't he call his own daughter "a stupid f'ing bitch" in a voicemail? Hard pass

Yikes. Maybe if he wrote something other than "One year ago today..." and just left it at that, it would have been a little better. Like honoring her or expressing sadness or grief of her loss? SOMETHING?!? What a fool. Yeah, that caption was a poor choice of words for the person who pulled the trigger (again, accident or not). It's like if an accident victim's family posted a pic of their loved one with the caption "One year ago today...", that'd be fine. But if the driver who caused the accident posted that same pic and caption? Not fine. I definitely have sympathy for him, that's an awful thing to carry through life and it was obviously not his intent to do it.

I have sympathy for him (STILL, despite the many terrible things he has said since the accident) and I don't think there is any good way to handle such an anniversary on social media. But since he and his wife LIVE on social media (which is a problem in and of itself for both of them) a post to mark the date was kind of obligatory.
His page is filled with all these posts of him enjoying the fall leaves with his children at their vacation home in Vermont and then suddenly there's this post that kind of came off like #TBT That Time I Shot and Killed This Lady. It wasn't great. He's verbose about everything, he might have tried to come up with a few heartfelt words. And yes, that would have gotten some backlash too because that's just how social media is.
Alec's still enjoying life with all his kids and his multiple vacation homes. He has been working nonstop in the past year - he's got a crazy amount of projects coming up. His life is good. Not so much for Halyna and her family. I can't feel THAT bad for him that somebody thought his post was insenstive.

I don't think he's enjoying anything, miserable bastard. All I see is a grumpy old man glaring at kids and looking constipated.
Oops, I meant ninos/Baldwinitos. Still looks as happy as an old geezer picking up the neighbor's dog poop. And good! He's loathesome and deserves all the poop scooping life can give him.

Yeah, totally surprised by the charges. If anything, I thought he may face some sort of negligence charges. I have to wonder the likelihood of him being found guilty, though.

I am too. It seems like this has been going on forever, though it hasn't. Not even two years.

I saw a news alert about it and, because I am a terrible person, wondered if it would make Hilaria's head explode. She really does not like anything interfering with her radical self-promotion.

I fully expect him, her, or both of them to appear on social media soon with a "statement." Alec loves to ignore wise advice from lawyers and publicists and thinks he's the smartest guy in every room.
