I wondered if she could get in trouble too - I guess it all depends on the rules laid out by the judge in their custody/divorce dispute and if she violated any of them.

Although, frankly releasing the tape to the media just shows me how much Kim sucks. This has to be hard enough on Ireland without everyone and their brother knowing about it.

If she's trying to prove that Alec is abusive in order to get total custody, fine. Give the tape to your lawyer so the judge can hear it. Don't give it to freakin' TMZ.

That recording gave me chills and made me sick to my stomach. Nobody talks to a child, to ANY child, let alone their own, like that. This is CMJ level hatred boiling up here. If Kim's the one who leaked it she's a beeyotch of the highest order, but now that it's out there ain't no taking it back. The poor thing is probably used to his tirades by now, water off of a duck's back and all that. I hope she turns out sane, but I'm not crossing any fingers. Hopefully for her sake she can just give as good as she gets and promptly called his ass back and called him a bloated has been or something. I don't blame her one bit for leaking it. It's outrageous that the asshole talks to his child like that and I'd be shocked if this is the first time he's verbally abused Ireland. He's probably been just as nasty, if not worse, to Kim over the past few years . You better believe I'd release it if I were in her shoes and show the world what a nasty prick he really is.

The tape may have also been leaked from the Superior Court commissioner's office. It had to be turned in as evidence in order to suspend his visitation.

I can't believe he called an 11-year-old a "pig." And I don't care how uncooperative or crazy Kim has been (and I'm sure she has been)-- that's no excuse to take it out on his daughter. I would even give him a pass if the voicemail had been directed toward his ex-wife, but the KID? Nuts.

That is awful! I agree that releasing the tape to TMZ is abuse in its own right, but have to say I'm glad Kim Basinger did release it because no matter what's been written about Baldwin I'd never be able to imagine the depths of his rage and cruelty without hearing the message. He is a sick f*** and I hope he suffers economic/career repercussions.

If he talks to his own eleven year old little girl that way, I can't imagine how he treats adult women.

I thought what he said in the tape about Kim made it sound like she was "thoughtless" because she refused to help make the arrangements between Alec and Ireland--like she was basically staying out of it. I used to think Kim was crazy too, but after that tape I'm firmly on her side.
