At the premiere of yes, sir, no sir, quite a few vietnam vets showed up and seemed to embrace Jane. I think she has apologized enough.

Some vets may have forgiven her, but I can assure you that not all have. Probably not the ones she fucked over. That's life, though. IMHO, she could commit hari-kiri atop the V.V. Memorial in DC, at high noon, on Veteran's Day or Memorial day, and it'd be fine w/me. Maybe then I'd be satisfied with her apology.

She's guilty of extremely poor judgment, no doubt there, but saying that she needs to commit suicide to get forgiveness is beyond the pale. She's not CEMJ.

If you check my post again, you will see that I carefully worded it so as to NOT say "she needs to commit suicide." On the other hand, I personally think she is guilty of much more than extremely poor judgement. All IMHO. As I wrote before. IMHO.

Trixie, I want to apologize to you if I've misinterpreted what you wrote, but what I saw was this: If Jane Fonda chose to commit suicide on top of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, that would be fine with you and at that point you might consider forgiving her for her transgression. This did strike me as a bit harsh.
Fonda's a great actress, but I'm not sure what I think of her as a person. I admire her recent charitable work, and she looks great for her age. She does impress me as being massively insecure, but, as someone upthread noted, her upbringing pretty much guaranteed that outcome.

Just named as a spokesperson for L'Oreal Remind me never to buy another L'Oreal product again. The hate, it burns.

So, everything fine in her? She may need a physical to find out. She definitely appears to be a polarizing figure. Another thread to avoid. Sigh

I never thought Jane was in the same league, acting-wise, as her contemporaries. Her acting always seemed to be extremely mannered and external to me. /didactic acting talk

This did strike me as a bit harsh. When it comes to Fonda, "Harsh" is my middle name. But I really was trying to phrase it so as to show it was my opinion, not my mandate. (Not that I'm in charge of the world and can make mandates, anyway. Dammit.) Thanks for dialogue, Sunnyhorse! I just want to express my opinion, and you certainly have every right to express yours.
